  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

you ballroom dance?! thats so cool i've always wanted to learn to do that. ha!

Then do it.

How long have you been ballroom dancing? I learned my freshman year of college. I danced 4 years in college and competed for 3. I took about 2 years off after I graduated and have just recently restarted. So I've known how to for 6 but I've actually been practicing for 4 1/2.

whats your favorite tv show?

The Colbert Report

If you could meet a fictional character, who would you meet?

I'm actually not that entertained by fictional characters so I don't think I can answer that one.

whose your favorite actor?

I'll say Sean Aston if only because we are indirectly related by two marriages.

Favorite Summer Destination (s)?

I never get out much during the summer or any time. I've become accustomed to taking a vacation about once every 5 years.

Favorite snack food?

I really like cheedos but they are messy. I also like popcorn

Favorite music genre (s)?

Country, I grew up entirely on country. For me country definded music. I never heard any other type of music that wasn't country until I was in the 4th grade.

Since then I've found I like anything but rap, hip hop, and heavy metal. However I'm sort of a developing fan of classical music as well.

Favorite Movie?

Luther (I'm not a big fan of movies for the most part and most people have not even heard of this. Not cause it isn't good because it was really well done and competes with Hollywood films. But it was made by the Lutheran church so while most Lutherans have heard of it, most outside the Lutheran church havn't)

Favorite Quote(s) from anything?

"God loves you and so do I" -Nicole Unrath (Not to be confused with a certain other Nicole who has caught my eye. This Nicole was killed by a drunk driver less then a year after graduating from the college where I met her)

"Here I stand and can do no other. God help me Amen" - Martin Luther

"Did you know that 16 of 12 diciples are buried in Spain alone?" -Martin Luther (From the movie Luther may be somewhat or completly fictionally based.)

What's the silliest thing you've ever done in your life?

Well I can't think of anything particularly silly so I'll just tell you the most embarrasing moment in a while.

I went to a charity basketball game to see my pastor play. This is in my hometown and lots of people from my church are there. This woman steps up to take a freethrow and can't really shoot it. So the ref for some reason comes up to me out of hundreds of people there and says "You want to take the next freethrow?" Sure why not. . .

Now recognize this is in INDIANA, basketball is a way of life here. So I go up and I know in my head I can't shoot at all without jumping. But you are not suppose to jump during freethrows. So I figure that I'd rather look decent and miss the freethrow then look retarted by jumping and make it. So I step up to the line and decide I'm going to shoot it like its suppose to be shot by springing your feet, which I have never gotten the hang of. I knew I was gonna miss but oh well you know. So I dribble a few times and spring my feet and shoot but I didn't get any real power behind it and I airballed a FREE THROW and it fell way short. I shot the thing like a 7 year old girl. . . no wait that isn't right because I've seen 7 year old girls shoot better then that. I was really really embarrassed it looked like I'd never touched a basketball in my life. And I grew up nearly all my life in INDIANA where basketball is a way of life. sigh

Whose your role model in life?

Besides Jesus? I'm not sure if I have any really. . . I like Martin Luther for his convictions. My dad for his committment to his family. But in the end Jesus is the only person who has never let me down.
