In principle, all evidence is subjective, as there's some epistemological uncertainty that we just can't quite shake.I believe the correct emoticon is.
It's not so much about convincing others (heck, some people are way too easy/hard to convince...) but being able to independently verify an observation. The availability of objective evidence doesn't depend on the observer being you.
True, but I think there is merit to draw the line somewhere. In principle, all evidence is subjective, as there's some epistemological uncertainty that we just can't quite shake.
Do you think time travel is actually possible? Or is it just science fiction?
I flip-flop on this. Time is much weirder than our Western cultural preconceptions make it out to be (simultaneity? Please...), but the existence of paradoxes throws it up in the air - how can we travel back in time without causing paradoxes? Does the universe split into many? Is history fixed and immutable?Do you think time travel is actually possible? Or is it just science fiction?

And then there's the time-traveller paradox - if we can time travel, why don't we see people time travel?
Isn't he the same guy with the... unorthodox views on masculinity and femininity? And the outright dangerous ideas on the origin of cancer? And the demonstrably false opinion on what causes cancer? It took me quite a while to arrive at this conclusion but it seems that time looks far more so like a menorah than as a straight line as we had tended to think!
I am a theist who considers that we are dealing with an intelligence and power so great that any moment in what we think of as the past, can be entirely and fully recreated...and a vastly more positive future can be spun off from that instant.
In other words Ezekiel 37, rather than being a one time event may occur again and again as many times as the Creator wishes in order to go all out to attempt to lead all of us to what could be thought of as "salvation."
If you do a search for Chaim Tejman hypnosis and time travel you will run into some interesting material on this.
Gah, philosophy. Kill it with fire!

You would think we should have met someone from the future by now if time traveling was possible. And then there's the time-traveller paradox - if we can time travel, why don't we see people time travel?
I didn't even notice that. I just googled pitchfork emoticon and grabbed the first picture I liked.
You so made my day.![]()

"In this chapter, I will discuss biological, living beings in terms of chemistry and physics, since basic energetic matter creates everything. The existence of living objects entails many substances. The main components, however, of energetic waves and basic atoms are hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen. This applies to other atoms, as well. Life is not an accidental event. Where methane, ethane, propane and other similar compounds are present, organic creations can easily be created without further assistance. Carbon atoms are plentiful in all energetic formations, even young galaxies.
Hydrogen atoms were one of the first
creations, before other atoms, and are widespread in the universe. Where there are two main components such as hydrogen and carbon, chemical compounds, which are the basis of high-energy bonds, can be created." (Dr. Chaim Tejman)
