  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

GPS? Or radio towers triangulating position????

Before GPS, it was LORAN using radio towers. It was all ground based radio towers. They just "upgraded the radio towers" and called it "GPS using Satellites".

You don't know whether you're connecting to a SATELLITE OR A RADIO TOWER. You just believe by faith that you're connecting to a satellite. It's all software and hardware controlled to give you the illusion that you're connecting to a satellite.

Try turning off wifi and cellular signal in your smartphone and see how well GPS works (it even says not to turn it off in Google Maps).

That's why when Planes go out of radar range (radio towers), they have to depend on relayed communications. There are no radio towers in the middle of nowhere in the seas. They have to relay the communications.

For other areas, they have to resort to radio balloons or radio relaying planes.

My son works for an aerospace company designing the Hall Effect thrusters used to position the GPS satellites. He has helped assemble the satellites and attends launches, etc. Is his company lying to him or is he lying to me?

Ok, GPS still works fine with WiFi & Cellular off.
    Next excuse ?

If you watch any satellite launch, you'll see the trajectory is curved and it's ALWAYS over the ocean. Nice way to cover up a empty tin can falling into the ocean.

The technicians monitoring the telemetry data, all they see is some numbers on a computer screen...those metrics are probably generated by an artificial intelligence or pre-programmed into the software. They think however it's coming from the satellite.

All GPS satellites are owned and controlled by the military, sure your company may build some parts of a tin can for them. That doesn't mean it went or will be going to space.

Lol - this post belongs in the Conspiracy Theories forum. GPS satellites orbit Earth twice a day - even a basic modern mobile phone can track them (e.g. GPS Test app). Radio balloons, planes, and masts can't do that.

It also works fine without wifi and cellular, and anywhere in the world.

You don't know whether the GPS chip is connecting to radio tower or satellite.

    Radio towers don't orbit.

The Iridium low-Earth orbit satellites are operated by a publicly traded US company.

Given you were wrong about "Try turning off wifi and cellular signal in your smartphone and see how well GPS works (it even says not to turn it off in Google Maps)." Can you prove you're not wrong about them using a radio tower?

Also works great in the middle of the ocean when there's no radio towers around.

    Well that's simple.
To hide that the Earth is Flat, that Hides God, because God can't exist with a globe earth.

So cosmic radiation constantly and consistently mimics the predicted time dilation of relativity but coincidence?

    That's ridiculous.

No, they always launch east to take advantage of the spin of the earth.

You may have seen a recent story about the SpaceX launch from Vandenberg AFB (California) that freaked out a lot of people in Southern California, like some drivers in Banning, some 50 miles inland.

Better yet, a guy in Yuma Arizona (not known for being in the ocean) got lovely footage of it.

Except when it's a plane, the spin doesn't matter. When it's $paceX, the spin does matter. That's quite hilarious double standard.

    Something's hilarious, all right.

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, planes don't orbit the earth under the sole influence of gravity. We put wings and jet engines on them to make them go.

    ow my....

Why would the military care about "tin cans" that are launched into the ocean?
