  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ever witnessed an unusual natural phenomena of any sorts?
I used to think I had, back in the day, which spurred my conversion to Wicca (hence the name ;)). But nowadays, I'm sceptical about whether they were genuinely supernatural, or just wishful thinking.

As for unusual natural phenomena... I've seen triple rainbows, supercooled water, microwave plasmas, shooting stars, etc. All very, very cool.

Is it melting?
I'm tempted to say 'no', but this is a physics-y thread, so one must be accurate about these things...

It's not melting per se, it's just been doused in delicious brandy. That said, it's very hot, so I daresay some solid part of it has become liquid.

I call it Christmas pudding. It's alcoholic! And we pour brandy on it and light it, just to make it more alcoholic.

Apparently, Yanks can't stand the stuff. So to my American brothers and sisters: have you ever had it? If so, what did you think? If not, do they even have it on sale in your area?
Looks like Christmas pud to me, and blessedly fig free.

So it has evolved over time from figgy pudding to soggy pudding?

Hope it's not intoxicating, otherwise you might not be able to eat and drive.

It's like marshmallow but creamier.
So... it's like when you stick a marshmallow on a stick and put it in a fire and it's crispy on the outside gooey on the inside... and 'Fluff' is permanently gooey marshmallow guts?

It's not too intoxicating, though I wouldn't recommend driving if you've drowned it in bottle after bottle brandy...

That sounds good :yum:
It's bloody delicious :p.

What are your thoughts on Albert Einstein as a Physicist and a HomoSapien ha ha?
I think he is the smartest man who ever lived, and a testament to what evolution can fashion.

and thanks for answering my questions.
Xmas questions are just as fun as physics questions ^_^.
