  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not so much of a lack of attraction as a lack of desire for sex. Though some aren't attracted to anyone at all, a lot can still identify as straight or gay or bi(what sex they'd prefer a romantic but asexual relationship with).
There's so many variations for just one label...

At the moment, I am asexual. This has mainly come about from the negative treatment I have had from the opposite sex in the last five years, although I have got my eyes on a woman whom I would like to have sex with.

Women can be really cruel b.itches sometimes, and I think they have only themselves to blame as to why a lot of men don't want to marry or have children these days.

I've beem called and to some degree consider myself asexual. It isn't that I don't have urges, it is just they aren't strong enough to make me seek a partner.
I'm the exact same way. I have a lowered sex drive due to an anti-anxiety med that I take, plus, I'm quite anti-social due to my Asperger's Syndrome, so by society's standards, I would be seen as asexual, since I do not see myself as having a sexual partner anytime in the near future (nor have I ever had one before).

That's not really asexual...

Looking at the economics of it.
Even though there is a lack of courting expensies, ultimately is may also mean a smaller money pool to use later in life reducing opportunity.

Say if person A has $5000 and person B has $15,000. Person A and B can afford to buy a car for $20,000 in which they can share. Where as alone they can not buy a $20,000 car.

How this relates into cost-benifit is when that money is placed into investments, such as stocks and shares, or managed funds. If a managed fund has an annual interest rate of 5%, then $20,000 will be increased by $,1000 where as $15,000 will be increased by $750 and $5,000 will be increased by $250.

An increase of $750 (person B) or $250 (person A) is < an increase of $1000 (Person A + B)

Therefore if the total couting costs is around $200 per year, then person A and person B will still be better off pooling their money together.

But that doesn't make you asexual. A dormant sex drive is still a sex drive. My husband is an Aspie too, and prior to meeting me, he'd given up on dating or relationships. His sex drive wasn't strong enough to make the effort to seek out a mate. But now his sex drive is doing just fine.

Wait until you're older. Maybe another Aspie or an understanding NT will catch your eye. Maybe not, but you never know.

You're not asexual. You can't be asexual one moment and another sexual orientation the next. You can't claim to be asexual just because you can't seem to get a woman to like you.

I think you should re-phrase your second paragraph. Some women can be cruel, but that's not a general character trait that is ingrained in women from birth. And here's a thought - do you ever wonder if maybe some of these women play these games because they are sick of men who take advantage of them, treat them poorly, etc? Just a thought. I have found that, yes, there are some women are there who are just downright horrible; however, alot of them were abused by a male authority figure when they were younger or had been mistreated by men at some point in their lives.

True. I guess I've just basically given up hope of ever finding (or wanting, for that matter) a mate. But who knows what the future will bring. Thanks for the encouragement. :)
