• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

That is mixing our human desires and failures with our faith, life, past, present, future into one story of artistic expression, so much more said then the words being spoken or the paint used to draw your tale.

i like it a lot bro. Well done.

Look what i bumped into once on a sunny day? This awesome example of poisonous bite sun baking on my path.

i estimate that tiger snake to be taller than 6 foot, though this breed usually reach 4 foot max. Can you see how it has flatten itself as to catch more heat from the Sun? Only ever saw it once, after i took the photo i chased it away and it never came back. (We have a lot of bush and swamp land around for it to find a safe haven in.)

Yes we do have a lot of deadly animals Down Under but overall they are not much of a problem when people are careful it is when people do silly things that they end up getting hurt. Like a drunk man dying after being bitten 53 times by a brown snake because he didn't think it mattered being drunk. We do have a few human lives lost due to shark attacks however, mainly surfers, however in perspective there are people in the water Down Under almost 24/7 so to speak so the chances to get bitten by a shark are very low. It is more likely to be hit by lightening or die from almost another cause around before shark attacks death begin to come into play, that is how low statistically people are likely to be eaten by a shark. However only last summer we lost a 17 year old girl in our Church because of shark attack so it does still happen.

have a look at this awesome video about the matter.

this image speaks volumes about how the illness of depression often leaves you outside, alone, shedding tears

yet, there is hope

please talk about how this image is related to your struggles with depression?

or how you support those of us in recovery who struggle with depression
Learning to be still before God, as the Psalm says and comparable to a calm sea as in the picture, can be beneficial to those with troubled minds.

"Seascape" Paintings by Artist Rana Maghlouth Convey Human Emotions via the Ocean

For me, the rough and tumble sea waves convey my often jumbled up feelings

Anyone else in recovery, can you relate to this?

Good picture; between Impressionism and Expressionism, I think, artistically.

I know what you mean by jumbled up feelings. Sometimes it can be good to let the settle. After a storm the waves eventually subside...

Interesting thoughts but for now the links are dead (at least, on my screen).

Interesting way of depicting different feelings as colors. I've seen descriptions of piano music as involving colors also by comparison.
