I am very grateful to all those of CORNELL UNIVERSITY, and its ORNITHOLOGICAL STUDIES, and the audio-biologists who compiled the songsters and nightingales songs from the bird album:
"BIRDSONGS OF THE WORLD" 1984:

from the open college university's bookstore "THE CROW'S NEST"

The knowledge that came out of the bird songs and bird identities of this album was priceless.........

I regret the fact that this information that was on this particular birdsong album---is no longer accessible to the public and the album is permanently no
available after a few years of being on the open market.........

I am very grateful to be of the few who were able to experience first hand the knowledge offered in ageless song.

\\\ faith and prayers of gratitude be with those who allowed this knowledge and information to be freely shared with all intelligence levels of the public.........for the public service and discretion.

THE GENUS NAME IS DERIVED FROM THE COMBINATION OF TWO GREEK WORDS :
AIMA---(BLOOD) and
PHILA ---(FOND OF)
THE REASON FOR THIS NAME IS UNKNOWN.

THE SPECIES NAME IS A LATIN WORD MEANING "SUMMARY."

The sound of the Bachman's sparrow can go on to sound very soulful to me...as if I can hear the bawling crying of a woman in this bird's song.....
I think it the the bawling soulful sound of its song that makes this bird so precious to me........

I often wonder if the bird sang over the trenches of the men, during the civil war...as this trench war went on for quite a long time and during the spring and summer months of the civil war..........

I remember watching the TIME/LIFE CIVIL WAR HISTORY video tapes of this trench war battle, where each side---the north and then the south----would play the CIVIL WAR SONG---"SWEET LORENA" back and forth for weeks, in the summer months at a time.........I often wondered if the Bachman's Sparrow or Piney Woods Sparrow's song, if the birdsong, if the bird was in the background of this WARSONG battle, and played a major part in determining the victory of the battle of the trench wars of the south...........?????????
