Kids here are force-fed misinformation and are told that they do not have the right to bring their Bible to school.

Every time I witness this sort of claim, the other side of the story comes out.

A kid tries to read from his Bible or pray (out loud and/or with closed eyes) while a teacher is teaching. The teacher would react the same way if it were anything else disrupting the classroom. It is not discrimination.

You would think that in a secular and mixed society like l.a that someone would speak out against me reading the Bible, but no one ever has xD. I'm not sure about high schools though. Maybe they've banned Bibles there

This might be a little offensive to some. But, I believe that if you're a general Christian, then you are of the world.

At least, in modern, free, countries. Christians have it SO easy here in America, and in places like Canada, portions of South America, Europe, and Australia. It's easy to go to church on Sunday and call that your religious obligation for the week, and do nothing else that is different from anyone else aside from maybe not swearing as much or refraining from sex.

I guess we should ask ourselves,"What does 'being of the world' mean?"

Is it doing something different than the world?

Is it doing the same thing as the world, but with a different motive?

How does one stay "in" the world, but not "of" the world?

I agree with you 100%.

Christians (most) put their faith in Christianity, not G-d.

This is different than what I was saying. I can pray in school, but not allowed to interrupt the teacher.

Either way public school is a terrible place. I will not send my kids there. I had enough of it.

Voddie Baucham said, "If you send your kids to be taught by Caeser, don't be surprised when they come out as Romans."

Who am I to judge? ;)

I don't see myself as a ''chosen one'', I don't feel the need to hate anyone else. Indeed, there are people my age who stray from the path of God, and I can only love them for that is what Jesus taught us. Let us pray for them instead of judging them, we are too small in the grand scheme of things to even attempt to question others. Only God judges.

His will be done.
