Who cares if they know my name. Really. As long as they know the Name of the one whom can save..
But this brings ua back to the question at hand, are you more blessed than she?

Fact is, none of us will ever share the very exclusive privilege of the mother/child bond. We all, including Jesus only have one mother and no one replaces your mom.

Why can't you be content with the intimacy you have? You can be many things to Chris but you just can't be his mom.

Why would you want to deny Jesus the bond he has with his mom?

His bond with His mother was broken when He died Bene.. He is now sitting on the right hand side of the Father. No longer on earth to have an earthly mother.. He is complete in Himself.. His completion and bond is with His Father. He shows us this over and over and over when He speaks.. He doesn't speak of His earthly mother.. He speaks of His Father..

Yes. From a human (carnal) standpoint, I feel Mary is so much more blessed than I
am.
But then like Jesus said, indeed blessed is
anyone who hears the Word of God and obeys it.

So from God's viewpoint, looking at the
bigger picture, I think we're all as blessed
as mary.
IMO.

I don't think it' competition though, yes we are all blessed and some of us are given more extraordinary graces then the other-- look at Mother Theresa, God have her a great deal more than he gives me, so in that sense, she is more blessed then me but I am equally blessed because God gives me what I can handle and he gives to the other what he has in mind for them.

But what God he did for Mary is not even in the same league as the rest of us.

BUt so what? I don't look at it as she has more then me, I look at it like God gave us all our capacity for him and we are all equal as we are are filled to our capacity.

It is his prerogative if he makes another a gallon size and he only made me a pint size, point is we are both full so we are equal.

Really show me where Jesus talks to us about Mary. Where in scripture are we taught all about Mary? Bene He was before He came.. He didn't have a mother before He came to earth because He didn't need a mother.. He does not need a Mother now that He is back on the right hand side of the Father.. He is complete in Himself.. The only Time He needed a mother was when He was born on earth.. This is why Mary was His mother.. Show me where in scripture it says any different than this?

Where do you get this from?

I have showed you time and time again Mary and Jesus' bond in scripture. You say he was separating himself from her, which is absurd and I say he was revealing to us their bond.

Again, what you claim does not line up with the word. I'm sorry.

I agree. Right at the foot of the Cross what did Jesus do?

He gave His mother to St. John to take care off.

Peace

Awe but it does though.. Jesus never spoke to us or His disciples about Mary. He didn't even speak to the Pharasee's about Mary.. He spoke only of His Father and His Fathers will. The Apostles never speak to us about Mary. The speak to us about Jesus and the Father.. Jesus plainly stated when someone wanted to give praise to Mary for being His mother this..
27While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed." 28But He said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it."
The word used is
menounge men-oon'-geh from 3203 and 3767 and 1065; so then at least:--nay but, yea doubtless (rather, verily).

And what did He say? Mother your son.. John your mother.. He would no longer be Her son and she would no longer be His mother.. For He was not of this world..He was going back to the Father.. His rightful place...

That is just YOUR interpretation, I disagree.

I say John represents us, the Faithful followers of Christ and Jesus was giving His mother to us so she can be our mother too.

God is the only one who is infallible.
No one can teach us if we wait for
infallible.
We need to be teachable!

I have a TON more learning to do.
God uses others to teach me, as it
says in His Word:

2 Timothy 2:24-26
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive;
but be gentle unto all men,
apt to teach,
patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;
if God peradventure will give them repentance
to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves
out of the snare of the devil,
who are taken captive by him at his will

How would one know if one were not
acknowledging truth?
(Speaking of all of us)

shoot, don't know why we should believe THEIR credentials of infallibility any more than we believe yours.

However, in response to the OP, of course I am not. God granted Mary more blessing than any other woman of all time. She lived with Christ up until his ministry. She bore him, she mothered him... I can't see how you can get more blessed than that.

no, I am not more blessed than Mary.

Yes, that will be a blessing....but I doubt all generations will know your name, other than your descendants that are into genealogy....:p

In heaven, Jesus, God the Father, my Sisters, and my Brothers will all my name. :groupray: They will know the fruit I have produced for my Lord Jesus.

Who cares if they know my name. Really. As long as they know the Name of the one whom can save..

That can be true... "see more of the Lord and less of me" type deal. ;) But His Church, His Brothers and Sisters are an amazing part of His purpose. He uses you and I do to His work on earth so we are important and our names will be known.

And this clearly contradicts Scripture as Jesus asked those who do the Will of the Father are his brothers, sisters and mother.

Mary said let your will be done.

According to God maybe as blessed...

Luke 11:27-28
Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

This was the reason for this thread.
