The signing of the seven year treaty with the beast from the sea, king of the north, Paul's man of sin (they are all he same person) begins the tribulation and that has not happened.

Read Mark 13:32. the short answer is that a lot of damage has been done by people guessing at this. It doesn't matter if you are a dispensationalist premillennial who believes the rapture will happen pre tribulation or not. I don't believe it. I am an amillienialist. But a lot of Christians do. Regardless. Love God and Love Others. If I am wrong you and I will be in a great position. If I am right you and I will be in a great position.

How will we know when the great tribulation will start?
A big tell is the sign of the sixth seal. The sky will roll back like a scroll, and God will be visible to everyone.

Then it will be like when the Hebrews reacted to fear of dying from God's presence at the mountain where the 10 commandments were given. Except the whole world will be like that, everyone will be afraid just like those Hebrews because God will be visible to everyone.

There is no such thing as " the great tribulation " only great tribulation. There are several passages that describe a time of great suffering and persecution that will occur before the Second Coming of Christ but we know this type of suffering is on going from century to century.

The rapture will happen. A little later big war with Israel, maybe a world war. And a horseman conquering and to conquer.
Authoritative NT apostolic teaching is that the rapture occurs with the resurrection at the end of time (1Th 4:13-17).

I find no "7 year" tribulation in the NT.
That is because it is found in the OT in Daniel 7:25 it is referred to by several of the prophets as well.

I don’t know do you have a book? Whose authority? I’m a pretribber.
I would challenge you to show me the scripture of a "secret rapture." Every scriptural reference is about the return of Messiah (namely 1 Corinthians and 1 Thessalonians. Both of those passages make clear that his return is a VERY public event. Often times I hear people cite Matthew 24:37-38 ...and the one is taken and one is left. The problem with this doctrine is that it ignores the CONTEXT in which Messiah is speaking and in verse 36 he declares that those days will be "as in the days of Noah" It is because of this context that IMO one will be taken one will be left MUST be viewed from that perspective one will be taken in the ark and one will be left to destruction... This is a clear reference to the RETURN of the messiah to set his throne in the Temple. I just do not see any clear scriptural evidence that supports any thing outside of the very public return of Messiah.

Additionally, in order to be on solid scriptural ground you have to employ the Mosaic test to declare something a fact. On the testimony of 2 or more witnesses, a matter is established. I've cited three and because of what scripture makes clear that is, the only clear multiple witnesses it is clearly established.

Gads! On what authority do we take a verse from Daniel 7 and drop it in the NT?

That ain't the same thing, we are talking chronology here.

Yes but when prophecy in the OT is being fulfilled, we are always told - "this was to fulfil what was said ...." Or "as it is written ....", etc.
When it comes to end times, many people seem to take quotes from Daniel/Ezekiel and say "this DOES mean this ....". Many people quote Scripture to support their view, those views contradict one another and any attempt to set a date is always wrong. That would not happen if it had been prophesied in the OT.

So the question "on what authority do WE take a verse from the OT and apply it now?" is perfectly valid.
