TasMan: they can't. It's just another case of making Gods Word fit personal desires. They also can't explain why it's only in the last 20 years you know since Tattoos have become very popular in the world that people in the church are trying to say that they are okay in Gods eyes.

I don't think it's sinful, but I find it detestable. I tend to lose respect for anyone I see wearing a tattoo.

But I'm a puritan. Concerning earings (male & female), nail polish, noisemaking shoes, etc, simile.

If you are debating the idea of getting a tattoo, you need to carefully dwell on scriptures and talk to God. If you really listen God will tell you what to do.

He already has anwered. It's in leviticus - He says: DON"T DO IT!!

We'll never win this war. It is against those who pick and chose what they want to follow and believe. Not follow Gods word fully. As in Keeping ALL the Laws.

and when have I once tried to defend making Gods laws of no effect? I get a kick out of those who want to defend their bad choices by either rewriting scripture or by saying it's all made null and void by grace.

Times have changed - but GOD has not. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. What God said was wrong 2000 years ago is STILL wrong today no matter what we FEEL about it.

And I get a big kick outta those who LOVE to quote Levitical scripture when it has nothing to do with today.

A Christian lady here had an affair that split the marriage. Her stoning is set for 3:30pm this Thursday!!

Like eating Pork, Being circumcised, Trimming ones beard, Selling ones daughter into slavery or prostitution, etc etc etc.

Does this make things any clearer for those who want to keep Levitical law today ??
