Are RPG games a sin?

I Love playing RPG games on Roblox they have killing but no blood what so ever the game on roblox is called Vesteria is it a sin to play it or no?

I do not think that any genre is sinful as such, what can be sinful in such kind of games is paganism, spiritism, demons, false gods everywhere, occultism etc. There are almost none RPG games without these things in it.

Killing as such is not a sin, only a murder is.

Even though rebounds per game is dominated by physically aggressive players who often lean towards dirty tactics, that doesn’t automatically translate into rebounds equaling sinful play!! I realize that it can become confusing considering the fact that the greatest rebounds per game player of our modern era, Dennis Rodman, was a very sinful person! If you keep asking these questions, perhaps you should quit playing all kinds of games.

The fact you ask these questions is that games are starting to bother you. They make you uneasy and they do. Chiefly the reason is they waste your time and energy. I know.

Yes. The trailer as such looks OK to me.

As timewerx said, games as such are quite a useless consumption of time, so its probably more effective to live than play a game about some other life But if you are bored or just want to relax after school/work and want to play something, this game looks OK.

RPG games are quite time consuming, I am not sure if you can play them casually. It mostly needs several hours a day to achieve some normal progress. So, you will see.

I am a missionary and Bible teacher. I also play RPGs. These games by themselves have no power over you. Even real idols are nothing according to Paul. However, if they violate your conscience, you should not play them.

Additionally, if they violate the conscience of your friends and family, you may want to avoid such games so that you can maintain fellowship with them. Again that is a voluntary choice.

Problem with video games is what are the creators trying to do? are they trying to indoctrinate you with some belief? or are they trying to create something fun to play? Sadly many ARE trying to indoctrinate us, keep us distracted and so on... I like games, even went a step further & decided to start trying to create my own game. I sat and thought about this very subject
I will most likely have good vs. evil themes. Ive never been a huge fan of the genre but since RPGMaker is one of top [and easiest] without knowing coding & stuff, its the one I'm learning to make games on.

Correct. I used to play World of Warcraft MMORPG.

I even played in private servers with 100x progress rate. Even that didn't helped and found myself playing at least 4 hours a day.

Even after I maxed out a few characters, I still felt the craving to make new characters. Utter waste of time.

Eventually, I quit.

Not to mention, any form of online multiplayer game seems extremely addictive and time waster.

If I'm betting on the least harmful games, they would have to be non-online single player games. They're a lot less addictive and you'll find yourself quitting a lot sooner instead of spending 10 hours a day on it.

No, it's not a sin to play video games. Or watch movies, or watch television programs, or listen to music, or read books, or play sports, or visit the park, or any number of mundane things we do.

If your conscience is bothered by a particular thing, then you should abide by your conscience; but in doing so do not fall into the trap of judging someone else if their conscience is not bothered by the same things.

If you don't think you should play a video game that has violence in it, then don't--but not because God has forbidden it (He hasn't), but because one should follow their conscience in such matters.

Anyone who judges you on matters of liberty of conscience sins in doing so; so do not let anyone judge you on matters such as these as though their opinion means anything. Likewise, do not abuse your freedom to harm and offend the conscience of others.

I have been playing WoW for about two years.

I eventually quit because of various gods, demons, magic, occultism and mindless killing/grinding like "in this quest, kill 20 wolves" over and over again. I was playing 8-16 hours a day (I was without a job in that time).

Since that time, I am carefully choosing what is the content of a game. I ended up with some offline strategy games and with games that do not require leveling, like simple online FPS shooters. In these games it does not matter if I play once a week or every day, so it gives me freedom.

Games can be a good relax or a good mental therapy (you forget your real life problems for a while), but when its too much, its too much...

What is sin or not sin is not a matter of public opinion. As you walk with God listen to His Holy Spirit in all matters --not just this one. If your Bible does not convict you, nor the Holy Spirit, then you are free to do them. (Neglecting your Bible and the Holy Spirit is not the same thing as them being silent.)

If what I am writing does not make sense to you, you may need to meet Jesus on a deeper level.

This Rpg actually isn't that long to make normal progress it takes about 30 minutes to level up so this one isn't really time consuming and never has taken my life over
