Satan wants people to become athiest and not believe in Christ, not the opposite..

"And
deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live." -Revelation 13:14

"For
they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty." -Revelation 16:14

"And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." 2 Cor 11:14

"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." -Revelation 19:20

The apostles saw Elija and Moses, are you saying they did not? It is not through the power of the dead that such things happen but through the power of God

I think they're saying that what they saw as Moses was actually a demon, since Moses obviously could not appear on Earth since he died. Since Jesus was talking to Moses, and Jesus knew everything, that must means the Pharisees were right!

"One cannot confess Christ is Lord except from the holy spirit"..St. Paul

That makes it impossible for these miracles to be false.. it would be a contradiction in terms..

Fatima also said that if the country didn't turn their act around fast(do penance, believe in Christ), espesially Russia, there would be a WWII..and thats exactly what happened.. so also there is a fulfillment of prophecy, another true mark..

P.S. - In medjodore many many people are converted everyday. Many protestants have converted to Catholicism because of the things they have seen.. Satan wants people to become athiest and not believe in Christ, not the opposite..

What is this Juan deigo incident about?? I have not read about this yet..

Also there have been tons of miracles that the CC has deemed false.. They investigate crying statues every month..and not many come out real..The vatican also sends doctors and scientists also to view an object, xrays, 24 hour survelance, you name it..I was reading Catherine Anne Emmerichs book on the life and revelations, the vatican sent doctor after doctor to view her stigmata and see if they were self inflicted or if there was anything suspicious.. I believe even one stayed with her for a while to see if they would heal up.. There is also a chapter that talks about the dried blood flakes and something great happened, but I havent gotton to that chapter yet..

The RCC and the vatican gave St. Padre Pio an extremely hard time before they finally regonized him also.. they even told people not to go to his masses anymore .. trust me on this.. the vatican is not easy on miracles, they are very VERY hard and skeptical..

In Guadalupe, Juan Diego was told by Our Lady to build a Church.
He told the Bishop who wanted proof.
The Virgin appeared again and told him to open his cloak when he returned to the Bishop.

Keeping in mind this was the winter, I do believe, and flowers were not in bloom. [and this happened in 513 AD. I think that is the date]
And he returned to the Bishop, opened his cloak and not only did dozens of fresh roses fall out, but before the eyes of the Bishop and witnesses, his cloak started forming a picture of Our Lady.

Now this is very important to note. Our Lady wanted this done so the pagans would be converted.

AT that time in Guadalupe, pagans were killing children as sacrifices....and so she wanted to give a full message.

Not only did the apparition appear on this cloth, but the average like of the material is 8 years and it disintegrates.

The cloth is still with us today without disintegrating.
So it is now 1500 years old and the picture is very interesting as well.

The picture that appeared, as per the recent studies, shows that the picture appeared like a polaroid and amazingly the eyes actually give a reflection of the Bishop and two witnesses.

I will suggest googling it.
The eyes of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

What I find fascinating is not one person looks at Paul's conversion.

He saw Christ after His Resurrection....so Christ was an apparition to Paul.
Yet everyone takes it upon faith he was telling the truth and read his words as Gospel truth. ;)

It was by Pauls' manner that led the Apostles to accept him. He was a murderer and so we know Christ chooses who will be choosen.

The apparitions of Mary, whom HE chooses as messenger, is looked at with a fine tooth comb. And if it measures up it is acceptable to believe.

Bernadette, who saw Mary at Lourdes is incorruptible.
ONLY God has the power to keep a body from decay, and preserved with a warmth to the touch as though she is sleeping, and pleasant odor surrounds her.

God shows His might. His Mother is His messenger. To state otherwise is saying God doesnt use WHOM He will use.

He sent angels to Lot, and an angel to Mary, to others as well.

The apparitions have been faithful to the teachings.

Is it any wonder ppl outside the Church do not see apparitions of Christ?
They wouldnt believe it. :sigh:
I hate to disappoint you WA, BUT I have SEEN Jesus..and had Him take me in His arms. SO that is not a true statement. I have seen Him several times.

Then you do believe in apparitions.
Which is probaly why you have seen Him. :)

many who do not believe, will probably not see Him.

Apparitions of dead people. Nope.

Visions of Jesus who is alive and not dead. Yep.

He has let me look into His eyes before. It's like nothing you ever seen.

So, people in Heaven are dead and unconscious?

Amen, Jesus is ALIVE!

In Job we're told that the dead will not return to their homes, so even if you believe the dead receive the gift of heaven right after death, it's not biblical that a dead person (even a holy one) would appear to people.

Personally, if I saw a vision of Mary...I'd RUN.

We have the Holy Spirit as a messenger.

I don't know much about the reported sightings of Mary, but didn't one of them tell people they needed to have statues of her and shrines to her in their homes? Or was that one that wasn't substantiated by the Catholic church? (I'm not being facetious, I'm seriously asking).

not at all. not what she meant, nor implied..

Well, if they're in Heaven, they sound pretty alive to me. Sure, their bodies have died, but their spirits haven't, and surely that's what's required for an apparition, eh? I mean, it didn't stop Moses during the Transfiguration.

no...but why ONLY Mary?? I mean..come on...NOT everything is about her. Why not say send back Moses again...or Paul or someone else?? It seems ridiculous so much focus on Mary.

There's lots of things in the Bible that make me wonder why God did it the way He did. Why Jacob and not Esau? Why Isaac and not Ishmael? Why three days and not five days? Why Galilee and not Rome? Why does God do anything the way He does them?

Aren't you the one who's demanding to know the reasons why God does things the way He does and not the way you think it should be done (i.e. apparitions of Mary and not Paul)?
