Funny, in my reading (without a full understanding, MANY things can be misunderstood) ... I actually worried that if I became Orthodox, the Church might not consider me as married. I was married in a Protestant church.

I was relieved to find out I am indeed considered married. I did not receive the grace I would have in a sacramental Orthodox marriage, but God has been extremely gracious to bestow much grace within my marriage as a result of what I've learned from the Orthodox Church anyway - God is not limited. And probably saved my marriage if I am honest. I don't think I could have possibly gone on as things were.

If he ever consents to have our marriage blessed though - that would be good.

yep, because while the Church does have her standard of where Apostolic succession is, she also pastorally applies that standard, and recognizes God is at work outside of the Apostolic Church.

I think that's Rome's position towards us, so that might be where you got it.
No, that wasn't it, although I agree that you are correct about Rome's policy vis-à-vis Catholics and the reception of sacraments by them in Orthodox churches.

nd baptisms must still be received via chrismation. both cover what was lacking in the person's previous confession
Do converts receive chrismation without baptism provided they were baptized in a Trinitarian fashion? The wikipedia page about chrismation seems to suggest such a provision.

That's how it's always done in our parish. I couldn't verify the form of my baptism so I'm the only adult that has been baptized there within recent years.

Are there Bible verses that describe or prescribe Chrismation as it's practiced today as independent from baptism?

Wikipedia states: 'The priest anoints the recipient with chrism, making the sign of the cross on the forehead, eyes, nostrils, mouth, ears, breast, hands, and feet using the following words each time:
"The seal of the gift of the Holy Spirit" '

What is the 'gift' of the Holy Spirit? Is the gift itself salvation, since salvation is described in scripture as a 'free gift,' or is it the actual indwelling of the Holy Spirit that is the gift? Is the Spirit giving Himself as a Gift? or does it mean something else? Thanks in advance!

chrismation was never separated from baptism. in Scripture, baptism was followed by the laying on of hands.

the gift is the indwelling and anointing of the Spirit, which is for salvation.
