Today, April 25, marks 7 years since my wife died. Here she is about 4 months pregnant at my diaconal ordination, which is also near this time (April 28).

I have a meeting with an Anglican chaplain in the Ohio National Guard shortly. I found out about this guy from an article he wrote for the "North American Anglican." Turns out, he lives 1 county over from me (25 miles maybe). Anyhow, we are going to the famous Tom's Ice Cream Bowl, which has been awarded #1 parlor in Ohio 2 years in a row recently. Neutral territory, I suppose. Who can disagree over fresh churned ice cream?

I have found ice cream to be an indispensable parenting tool.

I'm at my diocese's annual clergy conference. We have Bishop Kevin Nichols to lead several sessions on "Reclaiming the Psalms in Harrowing Times." I'm looking forward to his first address shortly.
