Anyone here play rift?

My friend has been talking about it lately and I was thinking about getting him a game-card thingymajig for the game (the pre-paid subscription ones) or the money to buy it. (I'm also thinking about playing it)

Is it good? Is it basically a WoW clone? What's the story line? Well you guys get the point.
