• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

She'd be mad if I asked her dad.  She thinks that such a tactic is sexist.

I met her while working at a bible camp in Wisconsin.  I was thinking of calling the camp and asking if I could use their chapel to do it.  I was also thinking of writing a song and singing it to her as the question.

ok...people are going to freak but...My fiance and I courted for 2 months and we will be engaged for 3 months. But, we've know each other for 4 years. For most of that time, we've both known that this is the person that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. His dad wanted him to have a good job and a place to live. It was a long 4 years, but now it is so worth it!

I am neither engaged or at the point of that even happening. I have many friends who are either married, or engaged, and in the last six months I have attended five weddings. I am glad that's its not me, but there are times I envy you people who have found the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. My friend just proposed to his fiance' on top of the building they met at. They had a tent set up on the roof and candels all in the tent and then he proposed. The other guy calls his girlfriend every night (she is in Indiana, and he is in Florida) and he made up an excuse of why he couldn't call her one night and flew home, the next night they were talking on the phone and he said "honey can you wait, I think there is someone at the door." And then he knocked on her door, and when she answered he was there on his knee. Its been fun to watch, but it gets a little lonesome when you're the only single gal in your group of friends. lol

hugs,
Jess

Don't worry about it; your time will come.  You're only 21.  I'm really glad now that I wasn't married at 21, there's no way I would have been ready.  I'm barely ready now, and I'm getting engaged soon.  Enjoy being single while it lasts.
