As an extension of the tattoo and piercings threads, I was wondering if anybody has any physical scars that they'd care to mention---maybe something you picked up from a surgery, an accident, or what have you.
I have several......I have a jagged scar across the width of my right little finger, which I got as a kid when a buddy accidentally hit me with a piece of scrap iron; got six stitches in that one.
I have a slight scar across the elbow of my right arm, which I got when I was pulling a start-rope on a piece of machinery mounted in the bed of a truck; the rope snapped and I fell backwards into a mounting bracket and slashed myself.
I have a horseshoe-shaped scar across the shin of my left leg, which I got when an entertainment center I was helping move fell over, and the door flew out and the corner of it nailed me. That one bled profusely.
I have a slight scar on the inside of my left wrist that I got from an encounter with a phone pole cable while I was operating a riding lawn mower.
And I have two lengthy knife scars, about eight inches long each, across the middle of my lower back that I acquired while I was in the service and which I'd rather not talk about. I'll go far enough to say that it was not a barroom brawl, it was a combat activity, and I'll leave it at that.
Anybody else?
