Let me just say something, quick and easy.

Ireland, North and South is a hell-hole.

Always has been, always will be.

Unemployment, sectarianism, racism, terrorism, dirt, idiocy, rudeness, and thats just what's on the news!

No one should ever come here, this place should be declared an International Neutron Weapon testing ground, thats what people here desverve. I've managed to stay neutral, in the sense that i've become a Pro-American Nationalist and am emigrating ASAP.

The problem with this country is that there are people here, people with 2 religions and they'll never ever stop fighting, even when and if a United Ireland is declared.

Do me a favour, never come here, tell your freinds not to come here, tell your travel Agent to tell people not to come here.

You are doing a great dis-service to Ireland, both North and South, Karl. I have visited both areas (and also know people who come from there).

Yes there are troubles, but heck there is sectarian trouble in Glasgow where I live, as well, and I would not stop people coming to visit Glasgow.

Like Glasgow, the majority of people in Ireland, both North and South want to live in peace and harmony, and want nothing to do with the troubles.

As for rudeness, the Irish people I have met are some of the friendliest, most hospitable people I have ever met.

Unemployment has nothing to do with the people. Most of these people I am sure would love to have a job. Again this is not just an Irish problem, but a world wide problem.

You obviously don't live here or understand here.

Take a common setting with common people in a common place:

On Bus, the route takes me to where i live but passes beside a predominantly catholic area, i live in a predominantly Protestant area. I am sitting in front of a young couple, no older than 25. As we drive past the Catholic area there are kids playing at the security fence, mucking around with things as kids do.
The man of the couple looks at them and says "Wee Fenian b*sta*ds." and the female agrees with a similar statement. (I am sorry for writing what i did but i felt it needed to be said.)

Now that was just a normal day in a normal setting, people here are A.) Indoctrinated into sectarianism from they can speak, B.) Inherently Evil, C.) Inherently stupid and D.) Unopen to change.

I beleive the only way to do this place a service is to destroy it.

No I do not live in Belfast, as I previously stated I live in Glasgow, but I have friends who come from Belfast.

Believe me living in Glasgow I do understand the Irish situation, it regularly manifests itself over here especially on parade days or when Old Firm matches take place (in fact it does not even have to be an Old Firm match, just one or other side of the Old Firm playing, which is every week!!!)

That happens when you pass though "Protestant" and "Catholic" areas of Glasgow too, but only by a few not the majority, and that is my experience of Belfast as well, from speaking to friends who come from there and from having visited it myself.

I live in the south. I'm Catholic, one of my best friends is Protestant. Neither of us have been treated like rubbish because of our religion/demonination.
The majority of my friends parents are both employed. There are only one or two of my friends that have one parent unemployed.

If you are complaining about Ireland, surely you should be complaining about the government or the banks eg AIB, NIB, BOI? Or being overcharged by ESB or Eircom? Or the price of goods and services here?

Texas to Belfast eh?

You must be really dumb, do you even know how bad your decision is, i'm moving from here to America.

I live in Belfast, i'm telling you, its not worth it, not now, not ever.

Belfast should be destroyed, a monument to the destruction of an ill-society.

DO NOT COME TO BELFAST, STAY IN TEXAS.
Well I guess I'll find out huh? I usually like to find out things for myself. My grandmother is Irish and she loves the country and encouraged the move.

3 days and counting!!
