Any Irish people?

I am currently living in the North of Ireland because of my Dads work but we are heading back to Scotland next year. All of Ireland is beautiful scenic wise but I have to admit, the people I have come across up North arn't that friendly, people seem to be very bitter even towards their own people. The UK has become one of the least religious places in the world now so I don't feel it comes down to religion anymore, from what I have seen and heard it all seems to be about tradition and if you want English rule.

You obviously don't live here or understand here.

Take a common setting with common people in a common place:

On Bus, the route takes me to where i live but passes beside a predominantly catholic area, i live in a predominantly Protestant area. I am sitting in front of a young couple, no older than 25. As we drive past the Catholic area there are kids playing at the security fence, mucking around with things as kids do.
The man of the couple looks at them and says "Wee Fenian b*sta*ds." and the female agrees with a similar statement. (I am sorry for writing what i did but i felt it needed to be said.)

Now that was just a normal day in a normal setting, people here are A.) Indoctrinated into sectarianism from they can speak, B.) Inherently Evil, C.) Inherently stupid and D.) Unopen to change.

I beleive the only way to do this place a service is to destroy it.
I believe God has greater plans for Northern Ireland than that (thankfully). Your stand against your own country has empassioned me to do what it takes for God to reveal His hope in that land. So thankyou for your bitter disregard...just goes to show how God can use human foibles to bring about good - in this case my determination to prove you wrong ;)

I'm from Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, but I've been living in Australia for the past 17 years...so I'm going back as a change agent - uncorrupted by the corruptedness that is the norm. I'm not looking forward to the bitterness and nonsensical bickering...believe me, I'd stay in Australia if I had the logical choice. But I'm telling you...this is the beginning of a catalyst of change. God wouldn't be taking me there without a reason, and it has been prophesied over my family that we're going to do something significant for God's Kingdom. I pray that the salvation of Northern Ireland factors into that somewhere 'cause I do love the place - flaws and all.

I am of Irish decent. Many of my relatives still have the accent which I could listen to forever. They are the warmest people. They never met a "stranger".

I have been dying to get there, *sigh* someday.

My thoughts/situation exactly
:D

*wistful sigh, indeed*

(And there may be some sort of divine conspiracy...why is it that every Irish guy I've ever met thus far has been incredibly attractive? )
