My call is KB0PAX... assigned by the FCC of all things.

I'm somewhat active on 2m, and occasionally venture in 70cm, but it is rare. I've got a TM-733 as my mobile, and a TM-241 in my office. One of these days I'll get the Heathkit DX-100 back on the air.

I used to be involved a lot with Skywarn, but its been a while. I still keep current though, just in case. I'm debating on SATERN, but haven't made the commitment yet. I need to get my HF stuff back up and running.

More info is needed to come up with a decent answer. Based upon what you said, this is my best guess.

The FCC criteria is a modulation index of 1, per FCC 97.307 F which will limt your maximum deviation as a function of maximum modulation frequency. There are some exceptions however.

There are gentlemens agreements and standard operating practices that may apply as well.

What is your frequency of interest?

Thanks
Ron

I do mostly 2m and 70cm. I may build a CW tranceiver for 40m soon (working on building a wood shop right now, though I may also move my radio equipment there as well). I am also restoring a Patterson PR-10 AllWave Receiver and an Eico 723 transmitter.

Real radios glow in the dark.

go to QRZ dot com and enter your callsign in the blank, upper left of page, that will pull up your fcc data if its still current and if not will tell you how to find out more info.

a lot has changed over the recent years.
no more code is required, the technician test is so easy now its downright offensive to some of the old timers.

as mentioned in my PP, 999 percent of my qrv is done on HF, 20 meters and lower. hope to catch some fellow CF members on the air.
