CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Any Degrassi Fans?

In two weeks, the N is airing "Degrassi Tells All". It looks like a behind the scene things with cast interviews, old footage, etc.

After watching the season finale last week, I have to find out if it's being picked up for another season. Even if they don't have the graduating seniors, I can still see where it could go on. There are just too many loose ends to not renew it!

I saw "Accidents Will Happen" and I really don't understand why it was banned in the first place, especially when you considered other episodes with controversial topics that were shown. Anyway, new episodes air in the US on September 29.

Yeah it really didn't seem bad enough to be banned for 3 years. Although, the quality of the episode was poor. Everything just felt wrong and rushed, I dunno.
As for my next haircut, it's going to be Spinner haircut from season 4

I was hooked on the old Degrassi when I was a teenager. I was flipping channels a few years ago trying to find something to watch with my teen goddaughter and we ran across TNG on the N. I've been hooked ever since. I do see a lot of recycled storylines though.

How did I miss this thread?
I watched season 3 of New Degrassi. It's not bad. But how could that singer guy pick any other girl over Manny Santos. Manny is awesome.
I still like the original series best.

Old school Degrassi Jr High and Degrassi High fan here! I liked how the show tackled real and tough issues in a realistic way and I enjoyed how the cast members were actually jr high and high school kids who were all different shapes, sizes and colors, unlike "unrealistic" shows like 90210 where everyone looked like they stepped off the cover of a fashion magazine.

Am I the only one who's having a hard time getting used to the new open? I guess it makes sense though, since half the characters graduated. After that, they probably can't do a "day in the life of Degrassi" opening. Also, do you all think this will be the last season since the rest of the characters are seniors now?
