It's so nice to see some others here who like blues. I learned to play the blues on the violin, back in the late 60s, early 70s. My friend and mentor, at that time, was Don Sugarcane Harris.(died 1999). After pursuing a career in music for a few years, I ended up joining a well known group back then, Sly and the Family Stone. I quit the music business and tried to find happiness in my marriage, but that was also miserable. It wasn't until I gave my heart and life to Christ, that I became truly happy and free. My husband, also gave his life to Christ back then. God has done alot of pruning, etc. in us, in fact, at one point, He took music away from us for a time. I now incorporate my style of blues into our band, Faint Image, and are currently working on a pure blues song called, Like a Thief in the Night, that I sing and play violin. I believe that the annointing that comes from a truly santified life, shows through in your music. I'm loving how people are getting ministered to, by lisening to our songs, not because of our abilities, but because I know that God is accomplishing His will through us. It has been many years of pursuing God's will, and waiting on Him to bring this whole thing all together. It's great to see how He is setting it all up for us to start playing concerts and reaching people with the gospel. We play alot of different styles, but our main theme is jamming unto the Lord. My husband plays guitar, and comes from a jazz background. His soloing is skillful and intense. Our bass player is classically trained, but loves death metal too and comes up with some wonderfully creative ideas. And our drummer is rock influenced and I'm amazed at how intensely he puts himself into playing drums.(faintimage.com)to hear some clips
