Been putting off the smart phone thing but I'm getting a new phone this month, and I'll probably break down and get one. Linux geek that I am, it will have to be an Android.

I refuse to buy from apple, they're too greedy.

To clarify, they're have no heart for the little guy. Apple may be built around making things user friendly but they could care less about making their products available to the average user.

Those were created for a seperate type of demand. Like people wanting a smaller iPod for running. That's why one of the few features of the new nano is a step counter.
In either case they're heavily price controlled. Try and find an iPhone meant for lower budget people, the don't exist. Apple pretty much runs solely on the large (expensive) providers and there are no iPhone "mini"s.
I like apple products, but when it comes to price comparisons they have very little to offer. They're computers are even worse in this aspect.
And Ferrari make no small city cars, your point is....?

Make sure to get YouVersion... great Bible software with downloadable bible versions and audio, widgets and more.![]()
The point is this, it's an electronic gadget, not an high end super car, so people shouldn't have to shell out 1500-2500 for a desktop/laptop or have to suffer with buying a second hand iPhone that was dropped in water, but is "working fine"...and people should be able to actually purchase said items w/out breaking the bank.
So w/out being snooty, what is your point is your point in bringing up Ferrari?
There are high-end gadgets just as there are high-end supercars. There are plenty of low to mid range smart phones so without being snooty perhaps you should just get over it.
If you think Electronics are actually the same quality as a Ferrari, I have this thing called a clue, you might want to get one.
This sounds a little socialist to me. They price these things this way because they have the choice to do so being an independent company. Who is anyone to say that they shouldn't do that because it's expensive for a lot of people? If you think it's too expensive, don't buy it or consider it an investment and save up for it.The point is this, it's an electronic gadget, not an high end super car, so people shouldn't have to shell out 1500-2500 for a desktop/laptop or have to suffer with buying a second hand iPhone that was dropped in water, but is "working fine"...and people should be able to actually purchase said items w/out breaking the bank.
