I have the Motorola Backflip. Big mistake. I thought about upgrading to the Atrix, but from the sounds of it, it runs the same Android wrapper (Moto Blur) and I hate Moto Blur. Instead, I'm waiting for the 4G Samsung to come out a bit later this year to upgrade.

I think Android is wonderful and I'm sticking with it from now on.

Just change to LauncherPro or ADW or something. It's not a complete UI overhaul, but it's pretty close.

I'll look into doing that. I've been a little afraid to mess with the core system, because I already have a problem with it rebooting in the middle of trying to text or call someone. It used to do it every day, but after moving up to Android 2.1, it switched to more of a weekly thing.

Well I just upgraded to a Samsung Epic 4G on the first. So far its a great phone, except for the volume. The ring volume is up all the way and also on a christian radio app I have the media volume all the way up and they dont play very loud.

Switching launchers isn't messing with the core system. They are completely isolated environments. When you install an alternate launcher, the Home button will give you an activity prompt for the default launcher or the one you installed. Set the new launcher as default, set up your screens again, and viola--a MotoBlurless experience.

I am running LauncherPro now and my phone has rebooted itself once since then. I'm waiting to see if it will be any more stable over time.

Does Samsung still have that annoying "this phone will beep when it's done charging no matter what you do" feature? That always annoyed me when I used my phone as an alarm clock with my Omnia.

I'm guessing it does. It beeps or if set to vibrate, it vibrates when it's done charging, as of yet I havent seen an option to turn that feature off.
