  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I haven't heard of Discworld. Sounds interesting.
Oh i love the series so far, sure some books werent nearly as good as others but that happens. It's called discworld cuz its set in a world that is flat and held up by 4 giant elephants who are supported by a giant turtle. it parodies everything from lord of the rings to Lovecraft.

I started when I was like 12 with "A series of unfortunate events" books and right now im determined to buy and read all 40 discworld novels. I've finished two more since i last posted in this thread.

40? Jeez.

I remember in elementary school we had to read a book once a month *huge groan* and do a report about it. I remember waiting until the last day. Didn't have any books around the house so was forced to scavenge my sisters collection. Read The Baby Sitter Club more than I'd like to admit, lol.

To Kill A Mockingbird? I remember reading it, but I can hardly remember it.

I remember reading the Scarlet Letter, that book was kind of cool.

While I hated reading the book, I did enjoy the book discussions in class afterwards.

I don't know, I always enjoyed thinking more. Reading philosophy books is a chore, but having new ideas to contemplate is great. That's when the real fun begins, lol. But I guess for everything, you must suffer first, lol.

I remember we had to write a paper about how the Puritans were terrible and I was the only one who defended them in my paper. I got a D. The teacher told me to write it again, I sent the same paper back and got an A-, go figure, lol.

Oh, I love Indian Fry Bread but I haven't had any since I left Arizona more than twenty years ago.

Question though? Where did Indian Fry Bread come from? There was no wheat in America before Columbus.

I got my computer fixed, I instaled another hard drive that I had cloned a while back with Macrium Reflect software. I've been busy sorting through files on my dinosaur disk from 10 years ago, installed it too so I can back up any document or picture - it was from when I first started studying Zoroastrianism so a lot of interesting links, pictures and texts there which I don't want to fill this topic up with at once but gradually lol!!! Here is a cool picture I incountered in studying the stars.

I think there is differant terms for what one might call a 'soul' - a soul of someone resides in the heart of their loved ones. A soul is the essence of ones being. A soul is ones spirit.

Weather here is very cold record lows almost past two mornings.

Books? I like astrology books.
