The race was won by the USA and there was no other purpose to return to the moon other than the symbolic one. There were more useful things to do in space, for example building space stations, telescopes, trying to land of an asteroid (ESA did it), send rovers to Mars etc. Now? It's been 51 years since 1972.
So there's been the scientific need to send numerous rovers to Mars over the last 50 years, with the latest being in 2021, but there's been no scientific benefit whatsoever in landing on the moon during those 50 years. That just doesn't hold water. I can give good arguments against the moon landings having been faked. But at the same time, this is a bit fishy. The race was won by the USA and there was no other purpose to return to the moon other than the symbolic one. There were more useful things to do in space, for example building space stations, telescopes, trying to land of an asteroid (ESA did it), send rovers to Mars etc.
You try to exaggerate to create a non-existent point. So there's been the scientific need to send numerous rovers to Mars over the last 50 years, with the latest being in 2021, but there's been no scientific benefit whatsoever in landing on the moon during those 50 years.

They've been able to do all that you listed, but a single moon landing would bankrupt them. That just doesn't seem to wash. Maybe it's because they know that humans really couldn't survive it.You try to exaggerate to create a non-existent point.
Nobody claims there is no scientific benefit in sending another men to the moon again. It simply was not as beneficial for the space agencies with their limited budgets as space telescopes, space stations, satellites, asteroids, new models of space shuttles or Mars.
Instead of exhausting all their money to just return to the moon and to sample some more moon dust, they used the money for smaller, but wider range of new things.
Like I said, I can give arguments as to how it could not have been faked as well. For one thing, since it was very much a Cold War issue, Russia was tracking and investigating it very thoroughly. And if there was a way to prove it was faked, they most likely would have discovered it.Great stuff @Ceallaigh, I cant wait to hear about your arguments against the moon landings.
It seems you are not listening. They've been able to do all that you listed, but a single moon landing would bankrupt them. That just doesn't seem to wash. Maybe it's because they know that humans really couldn't survive it.
Mars landings have happened more times and the last one was launched a couple of years ago. But as far as cost goes, when you add up the cost of all the space missions from 1972 until now, and subtract what a single moon landing say 20 years ago would've cost, I doubt the amount would be all that significant in comparison. It's just not a very sound reason in my opinion. Or put another way, it leaves room for doubt. It seems you are not listening.
To send men to moon is much more expensive than to send robots to Mars, for example. And scientifically less interesting, because it already happened several times.
Provide specific numbers and scientific benefits, if you like. Your personal preference of the moon before other things is not enough. I personally agree with the mainstream that Mars is now more interesting goal than returning to the Moon.Mars landings have happened more times and the last one was launched a couple of years ago. So they are true because they are true? This is the tightest circular reasoning I have ever witnessed. I think I am beginning to see why you fall for these things. Why should it matter who the video's are from as long as they state the truth.
You keep saying now, but this has been going on for 50 years. And what mainstream are you taking about? Since when has government spending ever been regulated by the "mainstream"? It comes off as just a flimsy excuse.Provide specific numbers and scientific benefits, if you like. Your personal preference of the moon before other things is not enough. I personally agree with the mainstream that Mars is now more interesting goal than returning to the Moon.
Its understandable that a next manned mission to the Moon now will be a step before a manned mission to Mars, to test new concepts of space ships, new motors or even to build some kind of moon base for space travels. But the moon as such is not the main goal, currently.
I'd like to see someone in this thread actually refute some of the things that were presented in the video for just five minutes from the pegged start time.So they are true because they are true? Now, please pass the salt, I have a few birds I wish to catch.
You will never believe no matter how well your belief in this false narrative is exposed. When you run across flat earthers and moon landing deniers they have decided against all odds that their beliefs are true.I'd like to see someone in this thread actually refute some of the things that were presented in the video for just five minutes from the pegged start time.
After all most of us started off in believing that Santa, the Easter bunny and tooth fairy were real too.
Sorry, but the truth is that you can't accept the truth.Everyone opposes me because I state the truth & you guys can't handle the truth,
That is just throwing accusations around.you even oppose Genesis 1.
So don't be surprised if people say "I'm not going to watch that".So............It's easier saves all the typing.
Sorry, but the truth is that you can't accept the truth.
You shouldn't jump to conclusions like that. I think the moon landings most likely took place. And if no one else wants to take up the challenge of refuting some points made in 5 minutes worth of video, I'll do it myself. You will never believe no matter how well your belief in this false narrative is exposed.
I've found the same is true of most flat earth deniers and moon landing believers. Personally I like to consider possibilities. When you run across flat earthers and moon landing deniers they have decided against all odds that their beliefs are true.
Keep in mind how many very critical thinking scientific minded very well educated people think us Christians are delusional. A lot of flat earthers belief is grounded in scripture. Their belief in scripture supersedes their belief in science. But It does no harm and everyone needs a few odd ball theories hanging around to give color to the place. After all most of us started off in believing that Santa, the Easter bunny and tooth fairy were real too.
Yes.And what is the truth, that man has walked on the moon ?
The facts, and further details, can be found in any encyclopedia or history book - on line, or otherwise. Though I suppose you'll say that they are all lying too?
