For 1 people would realize the earth is level
That will change our lives and benefit us .... how?
people would realize how they've been hoodwinked by NASA
Realising we have been "hoodwinked" by NASA will change our lives .... how?
It won't stop wars, famine, drought or cure various illnesses.
which is most important, they would start believing in Jesus & the Bible again.
That's nonsense.
i) there are flat earthers who have no intention of believing in Jesus - i.e. "we know the earth is flat; we don't need God."
ii) The shape of the earth has nothing to do with salvation. Flat, triangular, a globe or a pink hexagon covered in candy floss; people are still sinners who need to accept Jesus and be born again.
iii) A person cannot start believing the Bible again if they have never believed it. And I have never read a testimony which said, "I turned away from God because the earth is a globe; I turned back because it's actually flat and the Bible was right."
There are 7 billion in this world not just those here on this site
I didn't mention this site.
I was questioning your statement that 9/10 people don't believe in, or are not sure about, the moon landings.
& if NASA stopped all this fakery,
Why would NASA want to fake anything?
They are scientists - they deal in facts and in what can be tested and proven.
with all their money maybe they could start looking after the earth & it's people. Lets face it, how has exploring this so called space ever benefited the earth ?
Are you joking?
Sending astronauts into space has led to all kinds of inventions - like the water filter, memory foam or freeze-dried food. So if you have ever had breakfast cereal with freeze-dried berries or bits of fruit, that taste sweet when liquid is added, if you use a water filter to purify your water - NASA thought of it first. What about the space blankets they give to marathon runners to keep them from getting cold? Or home insulation to keep the heat in and bills down? Yep; NASA again. Portable x-ray machines, ear thermometers, invisible braces for teeth, strong lubricants? Thanks NASA.

If you're talking about saving money and giving to the poor, how about footballers' salaries - film/pop stars, spending millions of £s making films, advertising etc etc?
Money, of course, isn't your main concern, you just mistrust NASA.

Difficult, Disney died in 1966!

Don’t you know, his head was attached to a robotic body so he could be transported to a secret Nazi base in Antarctica, where he rules the world with the help of Nazi Werewolf Women of the SS along with lizard people - this is what conspiracy theorists actually claim.

Sadly I’m not joking about this. :(

As an admirer of Walt Disney, as a great artist, a great conservative, a great leader, a great storyteller, a great urban planner and above all, a great Christian, these conspiracy theories about him make me sick.

I am actually perplexed that NASA allowed him to do so many personal religious actions.

US First Ammendment. They had no choice. But also many in NASA were Christians, since it was the prevalent religion in the aerospace industry.

Interestingly there is strong evidence that several cosmonauts despite propaganda claims to the contrary in that oh so reliable source of independent journalism in the Soviet Union known as правда (Pravda, meaning truth), or as they should have called it, ложь (Lozh’, meaning falsehood) were Orthodox Christians. This has certainly been the case with the cosmonauts of Roscosmos since the fall of the Sovietsky Soyuza, or perhaps even before in the Gorbachev era.

People just want the truth, ask anyone 'Do you think man has walked on the moon' & 9/10 will say 'No or not sure'.
I doubt that 9 out of 10 people could explain how a gaseous explosion could result in controlled forward (or sometimes reverse) motion. Some will not even understand what this is all about (clue: ICE = internal combustion engine).

Not understanding how some detail of the technology works is not a valid reason for disbelieving the moon landings.

At various times in my career I have had a circuit not behaving in the way I thought it should. It was not doing what the theory said it should. I can't rely "that's not possible" even if I thought that a few minutes earlier - and my manager still thinks that! I have had to spend time and effort in understanding what it is that I do not understand. What was I missing? Or not understanding? YouTube is full of armchair critics who find some discrepancy and instead of trying to understand why, claim this as proof of a conspiracy.

Difficult, Disney died in 1966!

Wernher Von Braun met with Walt Disney before his death to enlist his help in order to stage the moon landings & walks.

Not true.
It is true.
I've told you before, our local flat earth society advertises itself as "non religious"; not connected with any faith.
I know you don't trust the FE society - but you can't deny that they all believe in a flat earth.
a) How much money do you think it would cost them to build rockets and fake the moon landings?
b) Why hasn't anyone ever come forward and said "it was all a fake"? I wonder how much money they would make with films and boos titled, "how we fooled the whole world"?
c) That still doesn't address the fact that Christian men have testified to having walked on the moon.
But if you want to tell God you believe his children are liars - go ahead.
So don't pretend you are concerned about NASA's money then.
You don't trust NASA in the same way that you don't trust any scientist, astronaut, world leader or anyone in power, the Flat Earth Society etc etc. "They" are all in on some ginormous and elaborate plot designed to fool us; they all want us believe something that has nothing to do with salvation.

Not true.

Significant numbers of Flat Earthers are atheists.

Furthermore, among other heathens, Muhammed expressly confirmed a flat Earth topology, as I’ve told you before, and traditionalist Islamic scholars maintain the Earth is flat based on the aforementioned trippy Sura involving the Alexander the Great figure who hangs out with the sun in the far west, as well as the aforementioned hadiths in which the false prophet of Islam declares that the disappearance of ships below the horizon is an optical illusion (which was a bold declaration for the time given that ancient Greek and early Christian scholars expressly refuted this, having studied optics; the study of optics indeed goes back at least as far as Aristotle, and was of interest to the early Church for reasons involving architecture and also the appreciation of God’s creation. Likewise, while Christians disavowed astrology, they were very interested in knowing the correct length of the year for purposes of calculating the date of Pascha (Easter) and the movable holy days attached to it, such as the start of Lent and Pentecost, and this was determined through astronomical observations that verified the round nature of the Earth.

Indeed, many Islamic religious scholars defended Muhammed’s claims of a Flat Earth even after the more learned Islamic philosophers and mathematicians, having accessed Greek and Indian philosophical texts translated for them by monks of the Syriac Orthodox Church and the Syrian Church of the East (in turn, the Arabic translations of the Greek philosophers made by the Syriac and Assyrian scholars from Aramaic and Greek manuscripts were translated into Latin, which sparked the Renaissance), became aware of the spherical nature of the Earth and were able to repeat the experiments which demonstrate its roundedness.

Examples of Islamic flat Earth-defending scholars, clerics and judges include Al Mawardi (d. 1058), Al-Qurtubi (d. 1273), Ibn Al Kathir (d. 1373) and Jalal ad-Din al-Maḥalli (d. 1460), and many Islamic fundamentalists at present.

Well all's I can say is that the Heathens may not be right about God but have it right about the earth .:greenapple:

This has nothing to do with my beliefs, I'm just showing what NASA says, if the Belts are true (which they are not) then by rights all astronauts should have been zapped.
Wrong again.

Whereas Christians have accepted the globe for 2000 years.
I do not think it was monolithic. While educated Christians have always been open to allegorical reading of Bible and accepting evidence, many less educated Christians held all kinds of weird beliefs.

Like today, basically. The only difference is that throughout history, education was much less available than today, so the percentage of educated people was significantly smaller.

Wrong, it's been 500 years or more since Copernicus was on the scene.
Oh mine, learn already that Copernicus did not come with the idea of the globe, but with heliocentrism.

Same thing in my eyes, a rotating earth which orbits the sun.

I do not think it was monolithic.
Probably more monolithic than now, because people followed the lead of the Church more.

And the Church taught the globe.
