Another Closed Door

I am writing this evening with a heavy heart.  I have been praying for a situation in my life for quite some time now.  Lately, all I seem to be getting are doors slamming shut.  This morning, I had yet another one.  I know that God has promised to never leave me or forsake me, but I am having a hard time seeing Him in all of these closed doors.  I seem to be going down paths I feel God is leading, but than BOOM!, I get knocked down and I am finding it harder and harder to get back up again and proceed forward.  My heart just can't take much more. 

So I am asking for prayers to help me feel God in my life and just to help me discern God's will for me.  If what I am praying for isn't God's will, then I need to find out what He has for me instead.  I just can't keep getting my heart broke time after time.  I need to know if it is time to give up or just find more faith.  I don't doubt God can do what I am asking for, I just don't know if it is His will.  Thanks!

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps before getting your hopes up too high for anything, just wait on the Lord to see how He wants things to go.

Thanks again! I am starting to feel some peace about the situation. No answers yet, but at least some of the despair is gone. God is good!

Sometimes God keeps all the doors closed because the time is not right. Sometimes He keeps them closed because we are not ready. Sometimes He keeps them closed because opening them is not is best plan for us, and He loves us too much to give us second best.

Keep up the hope and your faith in God. It is not possible for him to be mean or unfaithful.

I wish that the many times I got discouraged and rushed ahead without Him, that just once I had accepted "Not now" for an answer. Rushing ahead into our own plans only leads to hurt and sorrow.

I am praying for you, that patience will have time to come to its maturity, and that you will be perfected in that time for God's best plan.

Something I had to learn was that God DOES sometimes answer "wait" when you pray for something that you're not ready for. Sometimes it's a job, a relationship, or something else. Just keep praying diligently, and you'll know God's answer in His timing.
By the way, I'm glad you're feeling some peace about this! When I'm confused or concerned about something, I usually start to feel more peaceful about it before any answers come my way. Don't know if it's the same for you!

I guess patience is what I am lacking. I have also come to realize that this one particular struggle is truly a weakness for me and one in which Satan takes every opportunity to remind me of my failures. Sometimes it's easier for me to readily believe the whispers of Satan because at times I really do feel like a failure and Satan tends to step right in and reinforce those fears and doubts.
