ah yes, i knew it would eventually come back to that.."you know that we don't have the manpower to do what you are asking me to do."
and now that someone has seen the light, take a trip back back into your Admin archives and fire the person who suggested that 50-75 + staff members was way too many staffers to have on board to handle the needs of CF.

and then fire the person who said we don't need Admins. because if you let that person stay on as staff, they will find a reason to eventually eliminate all positions except their own.
Sounds just like our NHS at this present time, Pam! They keep cutting back on front line staff but the number of managers stay the same because they're the people deciding to cut back on staff!!
as far as staff , we do have enough right now to do all the staff requirements we have, and we always are training more
Yet I see but one in trainee in the staff list. Guess the training staff are a tad under-occupied at the moment!
(But then - you
knew I would probably comment on that, didn't you?
So, not to muddy waters or go off topic, but long ago I once suggested that there be some kind of limit to how many times a person can report anything but trolling.
It would prevent serial reporting and people who report everything under the sun would have to really think how to use the limited reports they have. Reporting would no longer be a recourse for the little things because it would be reserved for the big stuff by the reported themselves.
I also suggested this at one time - I think it's the only way to limit spite reporting. I remember too well when a member spite reported every single post on a particular thread. It generated about 20 reports in less than an hour nearly all of which were NV'd but it took up my entire afternoon.
Hmmm. I'd like to see at least one counseling PM thrown in before official infractions begin.
Fact is that a warning
is a CPM and has always really been so. They got taken into account when deciding to escalate the action. So in reality, there was just two levels of warning before you got moved on to an infraction.
Speaking as the original author of this protocol, it was actually designed for a forum that has the following stats
~~ Members: 6,914
~~ Active Members: 628
~~ Between 300 and 500 members and guests online at any time
~~ Staff is 3 admins and 4 mods, 2 of whom are on long term sick leave.
~~ We average about 2 reports a year from members but about 5 advertising spammers a week.
The place hums along like a little bee and is no problem at all but then the topic is gardening so it's not quite as contentious as a Christian discussions! You can see the original
here. (and yes, I'm Daisees!)
Nevertheless, I'm both chuffed and amazed that it has been applied on CF.
