I've seen a demon before

I seen a flash of light just "nail" me in the face

I'm not really sure what the flash of light was for, but I'm assuming it was some type of healing. I was diagnosed with arthritis at age 16. I went to school with crutches at least twice a week. If I can remember correctly, the Arthritis subsided when this happened.

It should be just as normal to see an angel as it would a demon... except that demons, by personality, would probably try to be seen more often.

An odd time that I have sensed angels -- there's a certain person who, when they walk in the room, I have sometimes felt was accompanied by the same angel. I don't get this often, and very rarely when I see them. But when I do, I almost feel as though there's a nod of recognition.

The demon was outside the window when I was watching t.v. at like 12 at night. I saw it glide by the window, then come back around and stop in the middle, and turn and look at me. I was under the covers in a jiffy

I think of it as a silly thing now, but I was scared to death when that happened. I wasn't saved at the time.

It's an eye-opener, that's for sure! If someone has doubts about the existence of a supernatural realm ...

this discussion is very interesting. I've never seen an angel or demon in my life, nor do I want to see the later. But I have had dreams. One dream had two ladies, like the red hatters society, hugging me and she asked me to pray and said "we're visiting people". My aunt was standing there and I thought it had to do with her.

I've never heard in real life from someone saying they've seen angels, so it facinates me that someone could see angels like bodyguards protecting the pastor and the word. That's just an amazing picture in my mind.

I definitely feel their prescense and know I've been protected many times, even from a fall off a bicycle. The verse shared earlier

Psa 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
Psa 91:12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

made me think of a time in college I was riding my bike wrecklassly through campus, the handle bars suddenly twisted backwards and it was like a slow motion or cushion kept me from impacting the pavement. I could have seriously been injured badly.

To my knowledge, I've never seen an angel. I have, however, seen my own family members' spirits before while we we're all dreaming in our separate rooms. The thing about these dreams is that they were the most logical, incredibly vivid and unforgettable dreams in my entire life. Dreams, typically, don't have a logical order and aren't vivid at all. I have also interacted often with my own spirit in the dream and trance state.

hmmm...how does that work?...interacting "with your own spirit?"

You ARE a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body.

You kind of make it sound like your spirit "comes out to play"...

I don't know... I kind of look at the world with a child-like sense of wonder. If there are creatures of God that I have never seen, I just wanna know what they look like.

Once I had layed down to go to sleep. I had closed my eyes to pray and when I opened my eyes a woman's face was right above my feet. She startled me and I yelped which seemed to startle her lol... But she laid her hands on my feet and I felt what I believe to be a healing go through me. (My mother and grandmother both got Lupas around 20 yrs of age which has severely affected their feet... I was 20 when this happened and my feet had started hurting badly... I've stood on this healing ever since... only 22 now... but NO LUPAS lol... )

I have seem many demons... but there's a whole history there... and I don't wanna steal the thread...

I myself have never seen an angel. I think my mom has, though. All I know is that they are all around us working for God to do what is best for us. They are protecting us every day, like Friday when my dad fell off of the roof of the school. He wasn't injured other than bruises, and I believe that God sent angels to catch him.

As to whether they are male or female, the Bible says that they themselves have no gender. However, when coming in the form of a human they do have one. How is it that they decide which gender to come in?

I would just like to clear up any misunderstandings in my original reply.
1. If you do not test the spirit....Most who roam this site and I'm not talking to the regulars will not have the discernment to know...I mean you only got to read some of the wacky stuff people post to see that, to just say to some of them that because you saw a spirit, they will automatically start trying to come up with more wacky stories and before long angels become demons,.. so my reference was for those who will not know how to tell the difference.

2. Yes I agree that an angel can come to you and since we are to walk by faith there will be times when you will not be given the option of testing but will require the use of faith. Otherwise we are in works or using a formula, so sometimes faith will be require to discern the spirit for yourself.
I agree Angels are sent to be ministering spirits, and if you have seen one good on you, but that does not change the fact that seeing an angel, although it may encourage your faith, seeing an angel or even sensing the anointing of the spirit is in it's self not what we are to focus on.
So if you want to talk about these things that's fine, but my point was don't overly focus on them as they are not what the journey is all about.
It is nice to be encourage but one must get past the need to be encourage all the time, for if one stays in nappies one can hardly say I have grown up.

Personally if I had to use faith to decide if the spirit was an angel or not I would keep this to myself and anyone close whom I trusted spiritually but I would not use such reference on a web site in case it lead others into era, being deception. my apologies for any misunderstanding, blessings all.

I think I heard one once. Just after I woke up, while my eyes were closed someone with a kind, gentle woman's voice leaned over me and in six words explained confusing memories I had from childhood. It was a profound moment that started me on the path to spiritual and emotional healing.

I have seen a lot of angels in a dream... years ago...
In my dream angels have a man shape and are clear and transparent.
I was able to see through them.
I had understood they are angels of God because at the end a great light appears and they look up to see God...
I was not able to see God... but it was my first (more great) dream from God...
