  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

At a recent meeting, the speaker said angels had just entered the sanctuary with healings in their hands (demons aren’t going to bring healing). Later, I found scriptures that support angels using their hands such as in Num 22:23, Dan 10:18; Jdg 6:21 and Rev 8:4.

In the early 1990's I would always be so nervous to drive to a certain gas station because we weren't in that great of a neighborhood. So I always worried each time I went there.

Well this one time I went there, (in Florida), it was a bright sunny day. I drove up to the pump. As I drove up, I saw a man sitting on a bike.

I felt the spirit tell me (and I heard it in my head) that he was there to comfort me and that everything was ok.

I just stared at the man and he looked at me with a very nice smile. That is the same time I HEARD the Spirit speak to me in my head.

Ever since then I have always told everyone that he was my angel.

Then, I got out of my car and went right in the store, placed my money down and walked out. I was only in the store for two seconds.

I walked out and looked around, and up and down the street, and this person was no where to be found.

That is also why i believe he was an angel.

That was about 15 years ago and I've told my 11 year old daughter about that recently.

It must be wonderful to have seen angels. If it ever says anything to you, you need to check to make sure it lines up completely with God's word, because the devil can cite scriptures for his purpose. People are sometimes afraid of what they don't understand. I think that should explain why people were afraid when they saw the angels, and the description of the angel with bronze skin or something like that is just how someone described the angel they saw. My skin is like caramel, but it isn't caramel (=^^=). Next time you see an angel or something, call on the name of Jesus, and say the shepherd's psalm. I'll pray for you because I really hope you saw an angel of God.

Well I for one have never seen an angel, I would love too, but I can wait till I get to heaven. Honestly I much rather see the face of Jesus while on earth. But my Dad and brother have seen angels, hope you don't mind that I sure a couple of their stories.

When my Dad's first wife died, it hit him in a really hard way. In fact he never really got over her death. Anyway, when she first died, my Dad would cry out to God and ask him, "WHY DID YOU TAKE HER?!!! My Dad told me of stories where he would go out in the country and just scream, from all the pain. One night he was lying in bed with his eyes closed, he was in anguished, thinking about his deceased wife. All of a sudden he felt like something had just sat down on his bed. When he opened his eyes he saw a big angel, surrounding in light. Well he said it scared him, I mean the thing had just came out of nowhere, lol. He said, then the angel smiled at him, and lightly place it's hand on his head. Once the angel touched him, my Dad fell into a deep and peaceful sleep. He knew then God's was with Him, and that he heard his cries.

Now on to my brother. My brother is 13 years younger than me. Our Dad passed away when my brother was 13, it was hard on us all, but hard on my brother the most, they were best friends. My brother had said if anything ever happened to our Dad he would commit suicide. My Dad was real ill for years, but fought to stay alive for my brother. Once my Dad died, God has started giving my brother visions. The first was God showing how my Dad died. Our Dad was lying in the hospital room, when two huge angels came to each side of the bed. My brother made a point of just how big these things were, I guess he didn't expect them to be so big. Mostly we see pictures of human sized angels or baby angels. Well Dad open his eyes, and the angels told him, "It's time to go.". My Dad said, "Not yet." The angels then repeated, "It's time to go." My Dad then said, "Okay." Once that happened, my Dad's spirit lifted out of his body. When his spirit was coming up, he started touching his mouth, my dad had false teeth, and I guess he was realizing he had his teeth back, lol. My brother said that my Dad looked young, no glasses, no grey hair, just young and that his hair which was full at this point had some type of sheen to it. Then my Dad turn around and looked at his body and kinda just shook his head. Then my dad's spirit went up accompanying by the Angels. I could say more about this vision, but I will stop there. Since then my brother has received many visions, his even seen the face of Jesus and visions of Heaven. He doesn't realized how bless he is to witness the things he has seen.

When my Dad passed away, my brother was very very angry. He said that Daddy had lied to him, because he promised when he got well, they would go ride bikes. In a way it was almost like he blame my Dad for dying. My Dad always said he didn't want to leave my brother without a father and he didn't want to hurt any of us by dying, since he knew the pain of losing his first wife. When my brother had that vision, he realized that it was not my Dad's choice to leave, just simply time to come home. Since then he is not upset anymore, because he knows he will see my Dad again in heaven. Sometimes he has to reassure my mom, that Daddy is okay, and we will see him again.

So while I agree that one most be careful when talking about angels, testing the spirits, and to make sure you do not worship them. I think it is good encouragement to hear stories from others how God will send his Holy Angels for children, how cool is that. We are truly not alone in this world, God is there for us, and sends His angels to do His will, just for us. Talk about feeling loved, huh?

I personally have not knowingly seen an angel but I am sure that my son did when he was 3 years old. I had been very sick and had a fever of 103.0. Apparently I had fallen asleep for about 3 or 4 hours. When I woke up I ran to find my son. He was sitting on his top bunk with a pile of toys and laughing. I told him Mommy was sorry for leaving him for so long. He said it was ok because the man with glasses had been playing with him. I asked about the man. He took me to my bedroom and pointed at a picture of my grandfather that was sitting on my dresser. "Him! He played with me" He padded off and everything was fine with him.
My son is now in 20's and still says he played toys with that man while I was sick.
My grandfather had been dead for years before my son was even born.

I think God sent an angel to watch him in a form that was something familiar to him.

Thank you for posting this.
I lost a Grandpa this year and am having nightmares about his passing and very grieved, losing a lot of sleep. (He was a wonderful, 92 year old Christian man) I fully expected that he would never die, that we'd all be raptured before that happened.
I'm not comfortable with the idea of people I love dying. Your post helps!
