the Watertown, Mass., man who found the Boston Marathon bombing suspect
hiding in his boat parked in the backyard.
The police capture of Dzokhar Tsarnaev riddled Henneberry's 22-foot Sea Hawk with bullet holes,
but he says he would prefer the money go to victims. "They lost limbs,"
he told Boston's WCVB-TV. "I lost a boat."

BE A JOSHUA

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged,
for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
- Joshua 1:9

All through the Old Testament book of Joshua, the Lord says,
“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid.”
What a message for us!

As I read through the book I was amazed
at how when the Lord spoke to Joshua, Joshua never stood before the Lord with excuses.
He didn’t attempt to refute why he couldn’t capture the territory the Lord had already given him.
He never grumbled and complained about his childhood or his feelings of inadequacy or his anxiety
or anything else you can think of. He simply moved forward in faith.
As a consequence he led the entire nation to conquer and settle in the Promised Land.

If you would arise each day with the same simple faith of Joshua,
a faith that simply trusted the Lord as shown by your actions and behavior,
just think about what area of your life you could capture.
You could turn the tables on the enemies of your past . . .
on the abuse and neglect and fear and hurt. You can capture that enemy territory.

The Lord has already captured that area of your life for you.
He wants to hand it over to you so you can obtain victory!

In what area of your life do you need to see the walls come tumbling down?

US scientists have taken the idea of a short film down to molecular levels.

IBM says it has made the tiniest stop-motion movie ever
- a one-minute video of individual carbon monoxide molecules
repeatedly rearranged to show a boy dancing, throwing a ball
and bouncing on a trampoline.

Each frame measures 45 by 25 nanometres
- there are 25 million nanometres in an inch - but hugely magnified,
the movie - viewable at A Boy And His Atom: The World's Smallest Movie - YouTube
- is reminiscent of early video games, particularly when the boy bounces the ball
off the side of the frame accompanied by simple music and sound effects.

The movie is titled A Boy and His Atom.

Videos showing atoms in motion have been seen before
but Andreas Heinrich, IBM's principal scientist for the project, said
this is the first time anything so small has been manoeuvred to tell a story.
"This movie is a fun way to share the atomic-scale world," Mr Heinrich said.
"The reason we made this was not to convey a scientific message directly,
but to engage with students, to prompt them to ask questions."

Jamie Panas of Guinness World Records said
Guinness certified the movie as Smallest Stop-Motion Film.

IBM used a remotely operated two-ton scanning tunnelling microscope
at its lab in San Jose, California, to make the movie earlier this year.
The microscope magnifies the surface over 100 million times.
It operates at 450 degrees below zero Fahrenheit (268 degrees below zero Celsius).

The cold "makes life simpler for us," Mr Heinrich said.
"The atoms hold still. They would move around on their own at room temperature."

Scientists used the microscope to control a tiny, super-sharp needle
along a copper surface, IBM said.
At a distance of just 1 nanometre, the needle physically attracted
the carbon monoxide molecules and pulled them
to a precisely specified location on the surface.

The dots that make up the figures in the movie
are the oxygen atoms in the molecule, Mr Heinrich said.
The scientists took 242 still images that make up the movie's 242 frames.

CAN YOU SAY YOUR FAITH IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH?


So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,
“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

I meet many people today who are falling into the trap of universalism.
This idea basically says that no matter what you believe, you’ll go to heaven as long as you are fully sincere in your faith.
So whether you’re a Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu, or any other faith, you’ll go to heaven if you truly believe it.
And pure universalists don’t even think you have to have any belief at all.
...

But here’s the problem with universalism:
What do you do with those who were sincere in their faith, but were sincerely wrong?

Hitler was sincere in his faith that God created the white race as supreme.
And the 9/11 bombers were sincere in their faith that Allah would grant them paradise for killing infidels.
So if you’re truly a universalist, you’d say those people would be in heaven.

Universalism breaks down on so many levels. So why is it so popular?
Well, it’s because in this postmodern age, people are afraid to claim their way is the right way.
But if someone thought drinking cyanide would make them happy,
you’d have to tell them the truth that it would kill them.
Simply speaking, the truth must be told when lives depend on it!

Don’t shy away from the truth.
Be bold in standing for Christ, knowing that your witness just might be the way God brings others into eternal life!

SHARE THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH OF CHRIST,
STANDING BOLDLY FOR HIM
AND ALLOWING GOD TO USE YOU TO BRING PEOPLE TO FAITH!
