That is why I as a believer don't put my trust in any denomination or earthly name on a church.. I put my trust in Christ and His word. Going to a church that preaches right out of the bible..

But even on the Bible we disagree. Do you understand what I said? So how do you know that what your Church preaches is correct?

Funny how you say you don't put your trust in an earthly Church, yet you go to a Church and believe what they say about what the Bible means..humerous..

And obviously you don't pay to much attention to what the Bible says..considering Christ established His earthly Church..

I seek and dig and read the word of God for myself also. If someone preaches something to me that don't sound right to me I dig in the scriptures.. I read the scripture in context. I have even spoken some things that I was mistaken about.. A dear sister in the Lord brought me what Gods word said about it.. For Gods word to me is truth.. So therefore I had to change my thinking. I had to line up my thinking with Gods word..

This is what you don't understand.. The Holy Spirit is my teacher.. He teaches me His word..I take scripture to support scripture. I just don't take one scripture and make my own doctrine.. I take the whole of Gods word as I study..

Again..you are trusting your own falliable understanding over someone elses falliable understanding..

But here in lies my point..what you said makes my point. If you hear what someone says and don't agree with it, then obviously even in the Truth of the Bible, people disagree..so with that being said...I will ask my question one more time, and a yes or no answer would do just fine..

Do you think that One Body would have so much dissension, especially on what the Truth of the Bible says?

So how about everyoine else who is guided y the Holy Spirit? Our they being led astray by the Holy Spirit?

So obviously not everyone who claims to be led by the Holy Spirit, can not all be led...

And did the Holy Spirit dissapear for 1600 years, and then finally emerge to teach the Truth?

I just don't take one scripture and make my own doctrine..

Do you disagree with making Doctrine from Scripture? Or are you saying that Scripture contradicts itself?

I agree with you that God's word is infallible, and that men are fallable. That is why Christ gave His authority to the Apostles, and the Holy Spirit, to lead and teach them into all truths. And this is what has been passed on thru the ages, thru Apostlic Succession; to prevent, and protect the Church from fallen into errors. Has men within the Church, personally made mistakes and errors, YES! But the esstential(dogmas and doctrine) core teaches of the Church, are error free. Thru the power and protection of the Holy Spirit.

If you remove that authority, you have every man for his self, all interpreting scripture, and opposite teachings of what the bible says, or doesn't say. Because just like you said, men are fallible.

It may be humorous to you but even when the preacher preaches I look through the scriptures .. If some preacher came and told me something contrary to Gods word I would definatly take what he said and throw it out.. For it is not what man says to us that will judge us but what God says in His word.. Gods word is God breathed.. I won't follow a different Lord for Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they will follow none other.. I am one of Jesus sheep..

The Apostles that Christ gave His authority too have been long gone.. Being an Apostle cannot be handed down. For all the Apostles were chosen by Christ and eye witnesses to Him...

The Holy Spirit can teach us on a personal level, thru scripture; or he can convict our hearts, and open our eyes thru a more direct manner. For instance, if someone is haboring ill feelings about his neighbor or a group of people, the Holy Spirit could show a person thru scripture their error.

But the Holy Spirit, does not give someone, the authority to interpret scripture on an individual basis, if he did then we would all be one, and there would not be so much division in the Body of Christ. This authority, was only given to the Apostles, which that passed on by the laying of hands, so that it can be perserved, for the building up of Christ Body, the Church.

Clearly, since there is so much division within the Body of Christ, plan B isn't working, and those outside of an authenic Apostlic Church, need to take a closer look at plan A. It's in the Bible...:)

I guess you can't answer the question. You say yourself that people disagree on what Scripture means. The problem is not what the Word of God is, but what it means..I can take a verse or passage from SCripture, and ask 5 different people, and all 5 will probably tell you that the "Holy Spirit" revealed to them that it means this or that...and all 5 people will say 5 different things..

So one more time, if we are ONE BODY..would we disagree on what Scripture means?

I don't interpret it . I allow God to show me what He says in there.. I read it and He quickens it to my heart. This is why I dig and dig and allow scripture to support scripture.. The Holy Spirit is God.. He can teach Me The word better than any man ever could..

Maybe it is in what people want the scripture to say instead of asking God for wisdom? I know in whom I trust..

I am not saying that the Holy Spirit, can't teach you on a personal level. To pharse it another way, I am say, that they Holy Spirit doesn't teach someone something contray to what has already been revealed by Jesus, to his Apostles, not all of which is recorded in the bible, it is preserved thru Apostolic Teachings, passed on thru the ages by,Apostolic Succession.

Got to go, supper is ready.

You show me where this is a biblical fact.. Without taking scripture out of context. Taking the whole of scripture..

You must have missed the part when the Apostles appointed Elder's to lead the Church..

Verse 13 says it best: Is Christ divided?

Here Paul was correcting them, so that they be returned to one mind..this isn't happening today unfortunatly..
1 Corinthians 1:10-12
10 Now I beseech you, brethren,
by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that ye all speak the same thing,
and that there be no divisions among you;
but that ye be perfectly joined together
in the same mind and
in the same judgment. {divisions: Gr. schisms}
11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren,
by them which are of the house of Chloe,
that there are contentions among you.
12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; ...

Right, Paul was correcting the Apostles
for schism.
Back then.
If it could happen then, to the original
Apostles, who walked with Jesus
Christ, why would you think it didn't
stop?
Or didn't happen again?

Arent you part of a schism as well.
We all are.
