There are 2 writings to consider.
But which one do we swear allegiance to (so-to-speak)? Which one do we consider the authority/government in our lives? Which one do we seek first?
One writing is the writing of God (His commandments) which is written within our hearts...upon the fleshly tables of the heart. The other writing is written externally with ink by church scribes and set in stone.
When we seek His kingdom/government FIRST, we do His commandments which are within us. Our names (authority)are written in the book of life as we serve God and His government within us.
Heb 8:10 KJV
(10) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Again, this writing is not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God (the living Judge) in the fleshly tables of our own hearts. The Spirit is life.

(3) Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
The other “writing” is the external handwriting of ordinances/ordinances that man has written with ink and placed in his churches to keep and work. They are set in stone...rigid. Men want us to seek first their external government rather than the internal kingdom/government of God within our hearts.
Their external writing is death.
These writings are “graven images” written on “tables of stone”….exterior from us . We can be "blotted" out of the book of life or we can be forgiven for our sins...the serving of handwritings of ordinances....having them "blotted out".

The “letter”….that is, the handwriting of ink… engraven in stones kills but the Spirit (the writing within our hearts) gives life.

(6) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
The Law was written and engraved in stones.

But religious man (puffed up in his fleshly mind) has intruded/trespassed into the Scriptures…into the Law…and has written his own handwriting of ordinances/dogmas by taking out selective commandments from the Scriptures to keep and serve. He doesn’t even keep the entire Law but keeps only his own selections of the Law.
It…man’s handwriting of ordinances…is being used to judge others who do not keep them. It has become another “god”….another judge… rather than relying on the Living Judge.
It is an “image”….a graven image…that has been set up in every church (where it should not be).
These images….these handwritings of ordinances…. are called church “constitutions”, church “by-laws”, creeds, “statements of faith”, etc, etc, etc.
The handwriting of man is external as compared to God’s internal handwriting of His commandments in our own hearts.
Which one do we pledge allegiance to? Which one is the authority in our lives?
Our name/authority is found written in the book of life when we choose His government within our hearts where there is life rather than a "church" government with its corresponding external handwriting of ordinances.

Many willingly “solemnly and humbly” submit to their externally-written church handwritings as the authority over their lives. They look to their “church” and its handwritings (its government) as the “authority” rather than God’s government within them.
Don’t let man defraud you of your reward (eternal life) in a voluntary humility and worshipping of “angels”…messengers that have written their external ink handwritings of ordinances.
The church scribes thought that they “saw” something in the Scriptures and put it into their handwritings. But they only “saw” things of their own fleshly mind…their own imagination.

Why willingly be subject to your church “ordinances” which are external and not be subject to the government of God within our own hearts? Why choose them over God’s government and His commandments...His righteousness?

Being subject to the church scribes’ handwriting of ordinances keeps us out of the government of God.
The church scribes’ handwritings of church ordinances/dogmas are against us. They are contrary to us. They shut up His government from being entered into when we choose them as the authority rather than God.

God’s writing of commandments within our own hearts is the same for every person. It unifies all of us into one body and one Spirit in Christ
The many different church handwritings divide us and causes hostility among us towards one another as we fight over them.
Don’t let a man trick you into going to his “church” and keep his church’s handwriting of ordinances (bondage) which were externally written in ink by the church scribes.
His church handwritings are according to the “rudiments” (the founding principles) of the world as they are patterned after the world’s externally-written constitutions that the outside governments of the world has set up for themselves to self-govern and self-judge rather than let God govern them.
The church documents are patterned after the likeness of the world’s documents and should not be found in the place where we come together to worship God. They are “images”.

Those who “dwell on the earth”….dwelling upon the earthly things of envy, strife and hatred of one another… fall into the deception of fleshly-minded men who want you to keep their church founding principles (the “rudiments”) rather than being in God’s government within the heart.

Their names are not written in the book of life as they do not choose to let God’s government rule in their hearts but rather submit to man’s church external handwritings and let them rule over them in authority. They choose external man’s church government over God’s government within.
We are to keep the “daily” sacrifice of Jesus Christ (the Lamb) in our mortal bodies. He was slain “from”….that is, AWAY FROM…the “foundation of the world”.
We must also keep ourselves outside the government of the world (its founding handwritings/the "rudiments" of the world) and keep His internal government within our mortal bodies. Why be subject to external ordinances that fleshly-minded men have set up in their churches to govern and judge themselves with?

Those who “dwell upon the earth” fall victim to the deception of false prophets and receive their “image” …their external handwriting…to keep and serve…rather than serve God’s commandments that are written in the heart. They are not found written in the book of life as they choose man’s government rather than God’s which gives us life. They "bear" with the false prophets as they submit to their authority rather than the authority of God.
(4) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
They make or DO an image (an external handwriting). They “kill” …..that is, JUDGE…others who do not keep and worship their “image”.
They do not keep the “daily” sacrifice (the Lamb slain) of our Lord as the “wound of the sword” of the Spirit is healed. They do not use the sword of the Spirit to slay the sin in their lives. They do not die to sin like our Lord…the Lamb slain… has shown us to do.
Their “another jesus” is a warring “jesus” and those who follow a false christ are like him. They follow an “antichrist”….instead of the true Christ.

(14) And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
The doing of an “image”…an external handwriting…does not give us life. It brings death instead. Many use the "image" that they serve "another jesus" who is not the true Christ (the Lamb slain) to judge others with. They "kill" others who do not worship their "image" by judging them. Therefore, they are still serving the Sin that leads to death....the death of the mortal body...rather than die to the sin as the Lamb slain has shown us to do.
(15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
