Favorite things to do for fun?

As of lately... Getting on CF! I really love to sleep though... I also love spending time with JP, my family, my friends, shopping, movies, music, and scrapbooking.

Any Favorite places to go just to relax?

I would probably have to say home. During the school year I live in a dorm, and it is just so nice to come home on the weekends. I live out in the country... So most everything here occurs at a slow, relaxing pace. Lol

Favorite vacation spot?(or dream place to go on vacation)

Three places that I have visited so far that I really love are New York City, Washington, DC, and Florida. I never thought that I would like NYC, but it definitely the most amazing city that I have ever been in. I love DC for the educational experience; there is just so much to learn there. And, of course Florida has my heart for its beaches and warm (or hot!) sunshine. I really hope to be able to travel to every state one day. I would also love to go to the Caribbean. A few other places I would like to visit one day include England, Ireland, Italy, France, Egypt (for the pyramids!), and India (for the Taj Mahal!).

Where are you from?

I am from the very beautiful state of West Virginia.

What do you do?

That is a slightly broad question, but I am going to assume you meant occupation wise. I am currently a full-time student and a summer AmeriCorps member. I am majoring in Secondary Education: Chemistry 9-Adult. During the summer I work with one of AmeriCorps' many programs mentoring low income elementary school students in reading and writing.

What brings you to CF?

I was actually looking for dream websites because I have had a reoccuring dream since childhood, and I wanted to know if the subject in my dream holds any symbolism to my real life. I did find a website for dreams with forums, but my thread would not post. So, I did a search for Christian forums and now I'm here.

How long have you been and how did you become a Christian?

As of April 28, I have been a Christian for 11 years. I was raised in church. I was a very shy person when I was younger though, and I suppose that God knew this. I had thought about giving my life to God before, but I never really had the courage to walk up during an altar call. Members of the church just so happened to all be up front for some reason when an altar call was given the day I was "saved." It was like I could no longer stand... my knees literally gave out. I was baptised a week later.

Read any interesting books lately? What about?

I work in a summer reading and writing program, so I read a lot! The Sign of the Beaver was actually a lot better than what I thought it would be. It was about a young boy who moves to Maine with his father to settle land in the 1700s. After they are finished building their house, his father goes back to Massachusets to get his mother and sister and leaves him to look after their home and crops. The boy, Matt, has his riffle stolen and then nearly drowns until two Indians save him. The elder Indian makes a treaty with him that if Matt will teach his grandson, Attean, how to read and write, he will bring food for Matt and teach Matt how to hunt using the Indian methods. I won't give away the rest just incase anyone ever reads it... But, it is a really good book!

Like?? That would be more like love the beach! It has been too long since I have been to the beach though... 2 years. I'm missing it terribly!

As of late... not really. I do need to though; my legs are void of color! LOL Perhaps if it is a nice day tomorrow I will do that....

I would get the Raid and spray it! Haha... I'm not a fan of spiders.

My favorite cartoon growing up was definitely The Jetsons, and I do still watch it on Boomerrang. I also love the Fairly OddParents, Jimmy Nuetron, SpongeBob, and Pooh. Lol If the cartoon is good... I will watch it!

What quality do you most admire about your mom?

I admire my mother's strength. She has raised four daughters all on her own. I can remember her having a full time job and going to school full time so she could get a better job. We have never went without anything that we needed.

About your dad?

I do not admire anything about my dad.

Nope... Not really. I have several favorites, but not one favoriate that I think is better than all the rest.

Hhhhmmm.... Nothing extraordinary has really happened to me in the past year. I have come to realize just how important my family is to me though... So my favorite memory would probably be something that included my family.

How many siblings do you have? Where do you fall with regards to your siblings in terms of age?

I have six sisters and one brother; however, I have not met two of my sister or my brother since my sperm donor (as I like to refer to him) has never wanted to be a part of my life. One of my sisters from my dad tracked me down a couple of years though. Therefore, I grew up with three of my sisters... One older and two younger. The younger two are twins though so I count them as the babies and me as the middle child. Lol

Favorite board on CF?

Oooo... I really like a few boards on CF. I probably spend the most time on FTB (Women's), Women's Disccusion, and Theology.

I do like watching football and basketball... I also like watching the Olympics. But, I do not play.
