CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would probably have to say my mother. I was raised in a religious home; so, it would make sense that my mother has had a large impact on my religious views.

I really never personally knew an open Republican until I met you. As you know, my entire family is Democrat; therefore, it has always been drilled into my head that Republicans are evil! 
Lol You are the first person who ever explained the differences to be between the two parties, and I found that my morals and values better match those of the Republican party than those of the Democratic party.My morals and religious views and opinions better match this party than the Democratic party.

Most of the time I just think of them off of the top of my head. As an education major I have had to write many papers on controversial topics; so, I have had plenty of practice coming up with thought provoking questions.
