Yes. About 85 percent of the planet labels themselves a "theist". Only about 4% of the planet label themselves an "atheist". The overall "consensus" of human beings is that "God exists".
Seeing that everyone has the freedom to define "God" as they wish that´s not really surprising.

Don't atheists have the freedom to "lack belief" in God and define that lack of belief anyway they want? :)

Whether it's surprising or not, it is in fact the human "consensus" on this particular topic.

Now if only truth were a democracy, we'd be set. :)

BTW, there is quite a difference between a consensus of people on any subject and a consensus on experts in a field for which there is evidence to discuss.

What makes anyone an "expert" on God exactly? I think most folks would consider Jesus to be an "expert" on this topic. He certainly believed in God. :)
