I missed Simon...what happened?

Well, since it's the next DAY, I just guess it's alright to post now.

Simon said he was WRONG about Katherine!!!

He said he listened back to the show after the show... you know, like he always tells the contestants "I think when you listen back to the show, you'll see what I mean..."

And he was wrong about her! Randy and Paula agreed that they had been too harsh as well and really liked her.

Ryan had started out by saying that Fox had gotten a lot of viewer calls about the judges the previous night.

I'm just glad it didn't seem to affect the voting. I'm not crazy about the dress either, but I thought she was great on Tuesday and was shocked at the judges reactions. Sometimes I just don't think they hear what we hear via broadcast, ya know?

And, one more thing, I, too, loved Katherine's little spur of the moment duet with Andrea! How cool was THAT for her.

Don't know if she'll win, but I think she's got a solid career ahead.

So, that's what you missed and then some!:D

On on ehand I am glad the judges saw Katherine for how she really did...but then again, what kind of weinies are they for coming back and saying they were sorry and wrong? It wasn't like they said...oh it was "okay" I mean, they really let her have it...so how in the WORLD can you go from an ..."that was horrible (blah blah blah)" ...to..."oh well, I made a mistake it was actually pretty good(?)" That makes NO sense. Simon does not have the personality to say something like that. It makes me wonder how grounded they are as judges.

BTW, what did Simon say to her that night she sang?...Miss Attention was talking over him.

Me smells something fishy.

Kellie was very humble last night. It was like she knew she was going, so she threw away the fakeness and pretense and went back to who she was when the competition first started - the real Kellie. I was impressed with her grace and humility when she was eliminated, even with her desire to thank her fans to the point of missing out on singing one last time.

I'm glad she's gone because there are better people left. But I'm also glad she went out on a high note, so to speak, in a classy and graceful way.

The acoustics of a huge live hall are going to be really different from what we get to see at home. You catch a glimpse of this every once in a while when something goes wrong with the audio and you get to hear a little of what it sounds like there in the auditorium. It's very, very different. It doesn't surprise me at all that what the judges hear there, live, with stadium noise, sounds different than what we hear at home with all of that filtered out.

Simon has made comments like that in past seasons, going both directions - someone was better than he thought when he watched the show back, or they were worse than he thought when he watched the show back. It seems to be a fairly regular issue.

Aww...see now THATS the Kellie I liked when this whole show started. I was rootin for her way back in the beginning...was glad that it was the other Kelly that got the ax instead of her back when the judges were making those decisions.

I was right about Kelly going next and Katherine got her apology, good to see the judges eat some humble pie. Kelly did leave with grace and I thought thanking everyone at the end was nice.

It's all about who people like now reguardless of talent, now I didn't mean that the person who wins will not be the most talented but Taylor being consistantly on top voting wise proves that people are voting for who they like not the best singer (should I duck?). VFTW is impotent but kinda a fun (mean) thing to do, some people are very bored it seems.

I also heard about the Seacrest/Abdul rift. They both deny it and what I heard Seacrest say I think he was joking when he said it----when asked about it he said he did not think Paula liked him but he had nothing against her and didn't understand why she would not talk to him. Then last night Paula said they get along fine, so if there is anything to it it will blow over quickly. imo

Missed both shows Tues & Weds (good thing I have you guys. ;) ) I'm not surprised in the least that Kellie went. She hasn't had a good performance IMO since she sang Bohemian Rhapsody.

Also - what music will they be singing next week?

Now, Tuesday at 8/7c the Final 5 will be performing two songs each – one from the year they were born and any song from this week’s Top 10 Billboard Charts.
