I have never in my life seen so many Anti- Kelly Pickler people! It truly amazes me that people can be so prejudice against a young girl because she was raised without a mother and a father in prison and did not have the opportunities other's did as far as learning. I moved to NC about 10 years ago and I do not know if many of you are aware of the school systems in NC. But we are rated, 48 out of 50 academically. So Kellie is not going to know about some of the cultures that maybe the other contestants were fortunate enough to have learned. Some have called her a redneck and made fun of her accent. However, I thank God that she was afforded this opportunity to experience this in her lifetime. As far as rumors of her and Simon off of the set, I would be ashamed to spread them. Because you can not believe what is written in the tabloids or online. She is very naive. Some of the comments written on here are written as if you all know the people in real life. I do not know Kellie. I am just writing the facts about the NC school system as I researched it when I moved here and debated whether or not to put my children in it. Personally, I think everyone left on the show is very talented and is capable of getting a contract. This has been one of the best season's so far when it comes to talent. I just pray that God looks at the heart of the contestants and blesses them accordingly. Just my two cents, not that it really matters.
Well... Chris is from North Carolina. So is Taylor. Neither of them seem to have any problem with education or naivete.
I'm not saying Kellie might not be disadvantaged in that regard, it's very possible. But
no-one here is prejudiced against her for not having a mother, and for having a father in prison. The general consensus, here and on many other websites and forums, is that she is greatly playing up her naivete in an attempt to create a "cute and innocent" persona that will make her more popular and get her more votes.
I'm certain no one is trying to be hateful toward her. In a competition like this, people are going to have their favorites, and their least favorites. Kellie is, to a lot of people, in the least favorite category. It doesn't mean anyone is prejudiced against her.

On another matter, I just read this on realityblurred.com, regarding Taylor's choosing between the groups. Apparently, it was staged by the producers, Nigel Lythgoe in particular.
Taylor’s selection of the “safe” group was scripted by American Idol’s producer
On Wednesday’s American Idol 5 elimination episode,
Ryan Seacrest told Taylor Hicks to join the group he thought would be safe. Taylor pretended to join one group but then faked them out, joining the correct “safe” group instead.
As it turns out, this whole act was, naturally, just another example of executive producer Nigel Lythgoe’s sadism. Although Lythgoe did not know who was eliminated, he did know which contestants were in the bottom three, so he instructed Taylor to shake hands with Chris and then go to the other group. Basically, the whole thing was scripted.
Access Hollywood’s Laura Saltman has the details:
Don’t think Taylor picking the “safe” group was of his own accord. During the commercial break, Executive Producer, Nigel Lythgoe, filled Taylor in on the fake-out handshake to Chris Daughtry and which group to choose. It turns out Nigel doesn’t know who is going to be eliminated. He is kept in the dark until the very end. The only thing he knows is which three contestants are in the bottom three.
