You still do not understand my point. If your god orders the Jews to murder their own people then what difference does it make if he orders Jews to kill foreigners. He did it with the Amalkelites, correct? Well once is enough.

If you want to embrace murder and violence for the sake of increasing your spirituality, then that is your perogrative. Today, if the Jews eliminate the Palestinians, then I bet you will embrace your god for the murder of another form of Amalkelites. It is in your religion. I didn't write it, your god did.

I agree that they are a reflection of the will of the people. Thay will not stop until the last Jew is erradicated from the face of the earth. This is what they have said. Do you want to be a part of that?

Me personally? I'd rather not be a party to any violence lest it is unavoidable. There are Jews who believe that all of the land should be theirs and they'd rather the Palestinians were removed completely from land they laughably claim as theirs.

We find ouselves in the same situation as in 1938 where our enemy is clearly announcing his intention and we continue to refuse to believe him.

I would think the intention of the Israelis is very clear to the Palestinians too. To them (the Palestinians) it's a struggle for their very existence, and their very existence is a struggle. I don't know anyone who'd do any different.

There is a time for peace and a time for war. We have tried peace only to have been made into fools.

Ok so we bomb Israel and Palestine into the ground because they're incapable of acting like rational human beings? I couldn't support that. Maybe we should occupy the land and force them to get on? But then we'd be stuck with the problem the British had, terrorists on both sides would fight back. As any of us would do if our land was occupied.

I don't share your pessimism to be honest. there are organisations comprising both Jews and Arabs that desire peace. I think the common man on both sides has an interest in it. The hyper-religious of course will never accept peace. Hampered as they are by their religion.

I'm not sure what you're saying we can't see. I think that those without a prior bias can see the situation quite clearly.

We understand your need to demonise the Palestinians and your view that the Israelis are just innocently defending themselves. But that viewpoint is at odds with reality.

It demonstrates quite well the problems in this situation. Which is far muddier than that.

What often galls me is that where any one of us on the opposite side we would likely take the opposing view. For example GerTzedek were you born a Palestinian you would be as furious as they are. You would be demonising the Israelis.

It's a small minded solution to a massive problem.

The lack of empathy it takes to not see this astounds me. The hypocrisy is burning bright.

Such a question is out of order. Monday night quarter backing is cheap. George Bush AND THE ENTIRE WORLD believed that Saddam has WMD. Saddam had violated the terms of surrender from the earlier gulf war. These are th things the invasion was based upon because that is what was known then. Any arguments made for or against the invasion of Iraq must be predicated on these two facts of that time.

My mother has a doctor who is Muslim as is one of the receptionist and I can tell you I would never have known it as they are the friendliest and most caring people I have seen in awhile.

Well according to Islam, everyone is born a Muslim and no one ever converts to it but rather "reverts" much in the same way you "reverted" to Judaism.
I on the other hand was born RC but when I joined the military in '68 I deconverted from that and became a heathen agnostic "flower child" in uniform.
