In the beginning God created Adam and Eve....they sinned...were thrown out of the Garden of Eden.....Eve had Cain and Abel...Cain killed Abel...Cain ran to the land of Nod....my question is....If Adam and Eve were the only humans God created where did the people of Nod come from? Did God just decide to create them as an after thought? Or what?

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hmmm...not what I remember the bible saying. I only remember Eve giving birth to Cain and Abel. One other thing. Still doesn't answer my question. How could he know his wife when they were the only people on earth?

I have read my bible. I'm asking as to how it says that God created one man one woman they had two boys.....no one else was created and suddenly there were other people in the world. It just puzzles me.

I don't think you are really getting what I'm saying. Adam and Eve's other children didn't come until after Cain killed Abel(my understanding) so I do get they had other children. But unless Cain married one of sisters I don't understand where the families came from. My understanding is God only created one family....which started with one set of parents....Adam and Eve.....who started one family....which was Cain and Abel...my readings of the bible is what showed this to me. Maybe you saw something else but that's what I saw. I never saw anything about people being created in a land called Nod. Only Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eve.

Yes they had many children, which included boys and girls. They had to procreate with one another(what we call incest today), but the problems with DNA did not show until after the biblical flood of Noah. I can only conclude that Cain took one of his sisters to Nod and they had babies, and this line was destroyed in the biblical flood.

I understand where you are getting your premise but to me that can't be because they are their sisters. You say their DNA was pure so it was. Then to keep it keep it pure God would permit inbreeding? I can't believe that. That goes in the face of everything I believe in. I have to accept the fact that after Adam and Eves fall there were other people created. Why weren't they mentioned in more detail in the Bible? I can't answer that. I can only say that is the way I have come to understand the land of Nod. I know you will argue this but it is my understanding and I firmly believe that if God wants me to correct my belief then he will do so.

it says the land of Nod doesn't it? not the people of Nod. you assume people of Nod. a land can be a land without people on it. but what was called Nod at the time Moses wrote this down, is where Cain went. what was Persia is now Iran.

No, the beginning is Genesis 1 where God created man (male & female) and told them to be fruitful and multiply and God saw that it was good, i.e. this is what happened. Adam & Eve are the first people God has direct dealings with in a protected area, Eden.
Jesus is the "second" and "last" Adam, he's not the 2nd or last man created but the second and last to represent man before God.
In Adam, the self-willed, disobedient man all die.
In Christ (by being born again) all are made alive.
