You are letting science think for you

My appeal is to think for yourself
What are you using to make these posts? A stationary computer? A laptop? A tablet? A smartphone?

Did you come up with the idea of electricity by yourself? Semiconductors? Microchips? Did you develop the mathematical system for the encryption and data transfer? Did you produce all the necessary components, from the basics, developing all the technology necessary?

Or do you simply hit a switch, start typing and trust that everthing will just work, because you want it to?

Science IS thinking for yourself. Science is questioning, testing, poking, doubting, testing again. Science is NOT blindly accepting every claim that you are faced with.

You. Do. That. Yourself!
Yes, I'm going back to flat earth. You do not believe it. You are told by "everyone" (some might start as skeptics, but many have changed, by their own testimony, and at some point all the rest will follow, everyone first or everyone later, blah, blah, blah).

But you don't believe it. You are skeptical. Perhaps, GASP, you even believe what SCIENCE is telling you about the shape of the earth. And, hey, Flat Earthers REALLY like these lines: think for yourself. Do your own research.

No difference to you.

Not sure what you’re recommending
Seriously?

Yes, I am all for "thinking for yourself". For "doing your own research".

But what the Flat Earthers - and people like you - mean with these phrases is: "Don't listen to what these people tell you. Listen to what I tell you instead. Look at the stuff that I show you. Ignore all the stuff that shows I'm only talking nonsense. Only then will you be 'thinking for yourself', if you stop questioning me."

Can you deny it? No, you can't!

I say your memories are the evidence
"Listen to what I tell you. Listen when I say "evidence", even if I don't present any. Don't listen to other people telling you that false memories exist."

You are not even trying, JE.

Have you checked your memories?

Do you do math? Ever? Do you check your results? What do you do when the results don't match?

Merely watch a video about known examples

Look at the world map…

You claim to have a photographic memory. Can you draw a detailed world map from memory?

I can say what has changed.

Japan was less fragmented and more isolated.

Australia was more isolated.

The coastline of France was not pointing out.

Etc.

you repeat it endlessly

despite all the articles and videos I shared

Because those videos are not evidence. They are just people saying what you want to hear.

Remember what I posted the other day?

You have only three things you post. I've never seen you post anything that's not on this list.

  1. Slogans.
  2. "This person agrees with me, therefore I'm right!"
  3. "This fictional TV show agrees with me, therefore I'm right!"

Your videos are Category 2.

Japan was less fragmented and more isolated.

Australia was more isolated and a basic shape.

The coastline of France was not pointing out.

Etc.
Faiyum oasis was non existent.

Alaska was more isolated.

There was a north pole… of land.

What maps were these?

Who says I want to hear?

I would say this is very inconvenient

The people in the videos and articles you post.

Here's how it works...

  1. You come to a conclusion.
  2. You look at different sources.
  3. If the source agrees with what you've concluded, then you post it and say that it's proof you are right.
  4. If it doesn't agree with what you've concluded, you decide it's wrong because they aren't being open minded, or they haven't seen the evidence you have, or they don't understand the way the universe really works, something like that. Whatever it takes for you to justify rejecting it.

If the coastline of France was different, it would have had a major impact on European history, and we'd be seeing ramifications of that all around the world. France in that universe would have been totally different to the France in this world, and yet you aren't saying things like, "France? What's that? It's supposed to be the Franco-Hungarian Empire!"

Well... that is not completely correct.

I distinctively remember the coastline of the Netherlands to have been different.

I wonder what might have happened? ;)
