They do what you do... they just ignore whatever they want. They revel in ignorance. They never address any criticism or problems of their claims. They don't even care about contradictions. Heck, why should they, if the whole of reality just adjusts to whatever they claim?

Like Flat Earthism, this is just another outcrop of the modern "it's all about me, nothing else counts" mentality.

I am German. Even more, I was born in Berlin. I know the wall, from personal experience. I know the checkpoints. I have been there. I have seen how it was, in my time. I have listened to those older than me, how it became what it was. I know the history behind it, the reasons for how it was.

And I have access to - and have accessed - the documentation. The official and the personal.

I have means to verify my memories. And I do understand that memory isn't "perfect".
You seem to think it's black and white, either-or. Either your memory is to be 100% trusted, or it must always be false and you cannot have any true memories.

That's bovine excrement. That's just not how memory works.

But nothing of that is of interest to you. You just hang onto people who tell fairy tales.

I can "go through" my memories. I can compare them with records. I can look for discrepancies.

Therefore, there would have been a direct rail connection between Tokyo and Sapporo from the 1870's and a shinkansen connection in the 1970's (perhaps earlier). Japan's economy would have profited. The Seikan tunnel would not have been required, so the money spent on that would have gone elsewhere. The Toya Maru disaster would not have happened.

Those are specific differences. Tell us how Japan was different (and it would have been very different).

Interestingly, I used to own a Soviet flag. Not an "official" one. Just one I bought in a shop. It didn't have a star.

And you know what is really curious? It still doesn't! Why hasn't it changed to this "new timeline" rules?
