CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do agree, but can anyone tell me whether you have to register to download clips please? I've just watched some, but have never inserted any on GE (or elsewhere) as I don't know the copyright issues or the procedures.

What is GE (or elsewhere?)
- no registration required (but can be helpful for other reasons...)
- link is embedded, not the file... the file still remains hosted on YouTu.be
- copyrights are strictly enforced by YouTu.be
- any violations by posters are usually quickly removed...
- some artists allow YouTu.be to retain the material, and the artist (or their representatives) monetize the music or videos... i.e., through ad clicks you see on the video.
I don't really know where the thread stands, so...
Alphabet: soup or cereal? I like neither I suppose... so it shall be.

Re this thread, it's basically a chat thread with the only proviso being to follow the alphabet with regard to the first letter of the first word of your post. Can be a little harder than it sounds on occasion. lol So next post starts with a word beginning with f...and so on...

'xactly... Recently I needed to write something in cursive handwriting. It was rather embarrassing the muscle memory wouldn't move the pencil. All I remember was that my index fingers were hunting for the "f" and "j" keys...

Alright, already, another absolutely amiable anomaly and accidental alliteration.Zeal for getting notes written quickly ruined my handwriting when I was a student years ago.
