I'll be holding a tentative multiplayer demo Sept 20th, 8pm EST. The download should be available by 6pm from roamingdragon.com. The game is only capable of handling 10 players, but I'll be happy if I have 4 people.
There are a lot of display optimizations that I can do to make things look better, but for right now, I am just focusing to see if the combat is half decent.
The game is just going to be free for all with no real points being tracked except: (damage dealt) divided by (damage taken+100).
I can't promise you that it is going to be terribly exciting. I'll be gathering gameplay data on the playability of the game. After I get the data on 10 players, I'll be able to change my network code to allow maybe 100 players. The problem there then becomes,"Where do I get 100 players to test out the code". I think if I make a fun demo that many people will come to play it. So my future challenge will be to make the game fun and also be able to provide me with data I need.
