So, I have been on this forum for a little over a year now, and am well aware of the rule about prohibiting non-Christians to reply to threads, unless the OP. Also in this time, I have had non-Christians including atheists, agnostics and even Buddhists, reply to my thread, and they have all contributed positively. I think, it is fine for this rule to remain in effect, but I propose this idea:

If the OP is happy to have non-Christians respond to the thread, at the end of the thread title, put "[NCA]" (non-Christians Accepted). I would love to see this implemented, as many non-Christians have given invaluable information throughout the time I have been here, even though it is against the rules.

Please let me know what you think.

I think you really need to choose another category if you want to have discussion with non-Christians. I see a definite advantage by having the current category with the current rules. Why could your thread not be posted in the Christianity and World Religions category since you are interested in discussing a topic with people of other religions? Seems to me that is what it is meant for.

It may be a good idea to put this thread in Member Services Center also, to discuss with the Administrators of the site. The thread would only be viewable between them and you.

Thanks for the suggestion; will do!

The idea of this forum is for non-Christians to come and ask questions of Christians about Christianity, not for a non-Christian to come and ask a question and for Christians to have to battle other non-Christians to answer the question.

There simply must be a place where Christians are allowed to answer questions without being shouted down or argued with.

There are plenty of other places for atheists to post. If you want answers from atheists, then ask in those places.

Where are these places? I haven't seen any.

Good luck with that. I don't disagree- but then- I've always thought that Apologetics has its place (and CF did away with the Apologetics board that was open to everyone ages ago).

What I'd like to see is a permanent sticky list of frequent topics and links to previous threads that discussed those topics that one must check before they can start a new thread. The biggest problem around here is someone comes along a week after the last person and starts a thread about the same thing. It's one of the reasons I really cut back posting on this particular board- I felt like a broken record- and it got old fast. Then again, this is the problem on GT as well (and I don't post there much either these days).
