Ok, now does it need to be a new story or can it be one that we've been working on for awhile? And could sombody please define "Character information?" What information do we need, how how extensive a list of characters?

The story can be new or old, doesn't matter. And the character information would be up to you. It's just a little bio to give the judges a peek at you main character(s). Name, Age, Gender, etc. If you all wanted it I could standardize it and give you an actual full bio to fill out. Otherwise it 's up to you. And how many characters would depend on how many characters you want your story to revolve around. If it's about the adventures of Tom Huck and Sawyer Berry then you'd need two I suppose, but if it's about a detective in the 1940's than you'd only need one, it depends on how many main characters you want to have. For now though one will be fine.

So if I have two main characters but am only introducing one now and the other later, should I do both of their bios right away, or wait for the one?

I keep hearing a lot of people talking about how bussy they are, and I totally understand! That was the reason I wanted to just be a judge! And plus I think it's really awesome to be able to read all these pieces and not having to think, "Look at these! Man, I've already lost." lol The pressures of a contest.


I'm working on getting my bro. to become a judge. Do you have any requirements for the judges?

The only requirement we have for judges is that they need to be able to read.

Okay, since you can use something old (i.e. that you've written in the past), I think I'll enter (as an entrant). It was that and the prologue thing that made me a little iffy about joining--I don't usually write prologues, though occasionally I do. But the story I have in mind actually has a prologue already, although it doesn't really introduce the characters at all. But it should grab your attention anyway. If it doesn't then, well, phooey for me.

um...this might sound kinda stupid, but I'm still confused about where to put up the prologue. And is there any info that is necessary in the character descriptions...and how long should they be? 'casue I could go into a three page long history of my character if you let me Other than that, I've pretty much got my prologue ready -aka I dug it up from someplace on my old computer and polished it up (I told you...I've been working on this one for a while)- and I'll put it up as soon as I figure out how... Now the stories can be about whatever we want? Does there have to be any kind of theme? Does it have to be Christian related? Sorry, but I get very confused very easily, so some clarification would be awesome!

Yes, the contest is still on. Back in the forum that this is in, the writer's guild forum. There's a link at the top of the page called 'Creative Writing' You would post your prologue and character info there, as a new thread, or a new topic. Just in the subject put (AC) next to the title of the story so that we know that it's part of the contest.

JesusFreak you go ahead and post, welcome Mocha, and judges, start reading. lol. (even if JF's in the only entry so far)
