I really loved 7, 3, and tactics. but I really dont care about the series its self, i just like the indivigual game. I really think it gets a little more praise than its due, but its still a pretty fun rpg.

I have beaten all but 1 10 and 10-2. and there alright.

my favorite character in the games was Vincent. My favorite main character was Terra, and my favorite weapon in any of the games was the Masamune.

hehe I remember one. Actually, I've never beat that one. Like by the time I got to play it (when the snes came out), our Nintendo was old, and games wouldn't play on the first try (So we'd do the blowing trick).

Anyways, so I lost my log once. bleh. After that, I only played one more time, but by that time, I was sick of it.

Favorite: FFVII
Hardest: FFII was probably the hardest overall, but FFIII had the hardest final boss
Favorite character: Hard to say because I like a lot of them, but probably Cloud Strife in FFVII. My favorite enemy would be Kefka.

I've played and completed I through VIII, MQ, and Tactics Advance. The only ones I haven't played (because I don't have a Playstation or PS2 yet) are IX, X, X-2, XI, and Tactics.

speaking of weapons (that Aburame mentioned), I think my favorite was the Crystal Sword in ff IV. I don't know. I just remember my brother searching for it. I don't remember where we heard it from, but we heard that it was in the last place. So we'd walk around the whole area, checking all the walls. When we found it, it was so awesome. I don't know if it was strong; but it was cool finding it. I think it was the first game we played that had hidden passageways (I think...)

Hidden passages were in FF3. I mean the Japanese FF3 on NES. Yes, they had hidden passages, summons, all that cool stuff.
FF3 also includes disposable weapons (the Ninja class could equip shuriken which were used up after attacking) and allowed you to change equipment during battles.

So yeah. FFIV is great and all, but in terms of innovation? The pseudo-real time battle system and the all-purpose MP system are the only "new" elements to the FF series that I can think of from FFIV.

And yes, Tactics is too awesome.

How old is older? Cause I think 7's music is incredible; especially Cloud's theme. The soundtrack for 7 really shone in its strengths, though. Almost all the themes were catchy, memorable, and well-suited to their parts of the game. Red's theme, Tifa's theme, Aeris' theme, the Gold Saucer music, the music of the slums in Midgar, the music when you're infiltrating Shinra tower, the Boss music, Jenova music, town music... I could go on :D

Where's V? Anyways, that was my favorite, even though it was really only proto-tactics. But I think I liked a bit more than Tactics because it was more forgiving (you don't lose a character you just leveled for three hours if you can't raise him in three turns... ugh.)

It looks pretty, at least. AC, that is.

5 wasn't on the poll because there were only 10 options, so I listed the ones that were originally released in America, because they're probably most widely played. 5 looks cool (my roommate was playing it), but I was confused as to why there were big frickin' meteors decimating the earth...

I've played FF 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Completed all of those but 6.

I would have to say I liked 7 the most, although i'm still not all that happy with the whole Aeris situation. Killing off arguably one of the nicest characters, and just leaving it that way. I know a lot of people who liked that even less than I do.

FF6 was fun, had a very good storyline.

FF8 had some good elements, but altogether I would say thats my least favourite of them all.

FF9 was cool, loved the Chocobo bit, with the whole digging for stuff etc. The storyline was decent too.

FF10 I enjoy playing. Although I have to confess I enjoy playing blitzball almost more than the rest of the game.
