thats a good question. I dont really think its as intimate as people say - I dont think I can be like...please god can I have pony on my birthday..... I dont even think I can say - please get rid of my cancer..... I believe God is more spiritual than that - he's not someone who checks in on me every second...I think of him as a universal intelligence

Those things that are an obvious failing against basic scientific principles for example; and Noahs flood is one such example - Is our doctrine so flimsy that any small deviation from a literal translation destroys our religious paradigm? ..is our understanding of spirituality so crude?

Yes of course. If that was a concrete fact and not a matter of faith, don't you think the entire world would be Christian?

Now, would your understanding of God and your life paradigm be so different if you had doubts about the notion of rising from death? Now many will say yes but not I
